When it first released, one of the biggest complaints from players of MOUSE: P.I. For Hire was the inability to replay specific levels. Fumi Games and PlaySide Studios clearly listened, because as part of its second update, and biggest yet, players can now do exactly that. Full details below.
Per Fumi Games and PlaySide Studios:
Today, Fumi Games and PlaySide Studios released the biggest update yet for their hit 1930s noir shooter MOUSE: P.I. For Hire across PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, Xbox X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2 platforms.
Update v1.2 introduces the highly requested Level Revisit feature, which provides the ability to replay previously completed levels, allowing players to grab any collectibles and finish side quests they may have missed on their first playthrough. This new feature can be accessed via the overworld map simply by driving to any previous level and selecting “Revisit”. Completing the game will now transport players directly to the HUB zone after the credits roll, providing easy access to the overworld map to replay levels. Players who have already finished the game simply need to select “Continue” or reload their latest save file in the Main Menu, which will similarly transport them to the HUB zone and permit access to the overworld map to replay levels.
Alongside this new feature, the update brings a large range of quality-of-life improvements and bug fixes to the game, including full support for ultrawide monitors on PC, uncapped Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), and performance optimizations throughout the game (including a brand-new “Balanced” graphics mode with 40 FPS framerate for Switch 2). Physical editions for MOUSE: P.I. For Hire will also be available from July 10, with pre-orders for both the physical Standard Edition and physical Deluxe “Mouseburg Edition” set to ship soon. The MOUSE: P.I. For Hire – Mouseburg Edition includes the base game, a 7″ Vinyl Record with four tracks from the Official Game Soundtrack (OST), a double-sided poster featuring a map of Mouseburg on the front and a schematic of Jack Pepper’s trusty “Micer” pistol on the back, a printed Comic Book (including 2 sticker sheets), 33 Mouseburg Baseball Trading Cards, and 3 premium Mouseburg Postcards.
With the much requested feature finally allowing us to revisit and replay already completed levels, the replayability, and also ease of getting all the trophies/achievements, of MOUSE: P.I. For Hire has never been better. The over-th
