Hellraiser: Revival is almost finished, and Aidan’s adventure, if you can call it that, is coming to an end. Charlotte, the Sister of Mercy, and even Bruno is behind you, and now only one more Cult member remains – Marlowe. If you’re here, you’ve just seen Pinhead’s judgement passed on Marlowe, and safe to say he’s not impressed with the outcome. A monstrous transformation occurs, and now you have to beat Marlowe in Hellraiser: Revival, but by the end of this guide, you’ll have done that quickly and easily.
How to Beat Marlowe in Hellraiser: Revival
As I’ve just said, Marlowe is no longer the small human he was before. No, thanks to Bruno’s ‘crafting of his flesh’, and Pinhead informing Marlowe he was never meant to be an Angel, he ends up transforming into a hulking mess, and something far bigger, and more deadly, that you have to fight.
There is a lot of ground to cover between where Marlowe transforms and your eventual fighting arena. There’s puzzles, swarms of enemies and a few unavoidable conversations with the Cenobites and Zora. You’d be well advised to stockpile as much ammo, health and crafting components as you can over the new few minutes, as once you get to the end, you’ll need them if you want to beat Marlowe.
One click and you're done. Thank you!

Once you arrive at the church, duck in under the rubble and head inside. This boss fight against Marlowe takes place over two phases, much like Bruno’s before it. If you’ve stockpiled your ammo, great, if not, you’re going to have a harder time. In both the first and second phase there are boxes with ammo littered around the arena, but trying to break and pick them up as you fight Marlowe can prove difficult, especially with him marauding around.
When it begins, you’ll want to pay close attention to the three disciples Marlowe spawns on his back. Shooting Marlowe himself does very little in the long run, so focus on those three. Once you ‘kill’ them, they’ll fall off his back, and after the third, he will stumble to the floor, and you’ll be able to use Hell Chains on him. Do this for the first time, and he’ll get up and knock you into another section of the church, and now you’re on phase two.
Phase two is much the same as phase one. Run around the area picking up as much ammo as possible, saving it only for the disciples on his back. Marlowe is far more aggressive in this second phase, moving quicker, grabbing you and throwing you to the ground, and even leaping through the air at you. You’ll want to make good use of the dodge button (R1/RT) throughout both phases.
Again, once you’ve killed the three disciples on his back, Marlowe will drop to his knees and offer you the opportunity to Hell Chains him. Do the same thing, and then attack him in the centre. His health will plummet, whether it’s knives or bullets, and then he’ll get up, stumble around, and now you can Banish him.
And that’s it, you have now figured out how to beat Marlowe in Hellraiser: Revival, and can take his heart to Sunny to finish her restoration!
