Palworld took the world by storm when it dropped into Early Access at the start of 2024, and has quickly become a large part of recent pop culture, even forcing Nintendo’s hand in court, with patents and lawsuits.
Now, Pocketpair Publishing has taken the next step for the franchise and revealed a spin-off to the popular title, this time harkening back to a simpler gaming time with a Palworld-inspired Farmville-looking farming title.
Straight from Pocketpair Publishing:
“Bringing the world of Palworld into a brand-new farming experience with mysterious creatures known as “Pals”—introducing Palworld: Palfarm!
Move to an island where the Pals live, work together to till the fields, cook, craft, and build the farm of your dreams.
Each Pal will lend a hand in farm work by making use of their unique abilities. From sowing seeds and watering to harvesting, Pals make for reliable partners. Deepen your relationships with the island residents and Pals through daily conversation and gift-giving, and you may discover unexpected, special stories unfolding.
At times, you’ll also need to defend your farm from some nasty Pals that come to wreak havoc. Head to the market, buy and sell crops or crafted goods, and sometimes even obtain rare items. Of course, multiplayer is also supported, so you can build your farm life together with friends.
A cosy life is waiting for you with your Pals!”
This came out of nowhere, right? Featuring farming, fishing, exploration, tree-surgery, and giant snowballs, this looks far more involved than a simple spin-off would have you believe.
No release date has been announced yet, and you can see more on Palworld: Palfarm‘s Steam page, and no news beyond a PC release, regarding other platforms, but for now, we’re going to be keeping a beady eye on this one, as it looks the perfect mix of cosy and calming, with a mixture of our favourite Pals thrown in for good measure.
