If you’ve been waiting for a cosy, fantasy shopkeeping game to occupy your time and make you feel like a character inhabiting our favourite fantasy worlds, well, look no further than Faire Trade. Thanks to developer Sassybot, we haven’t got long to wait, as the studio has announced the title will be hitting Early Access much sooner than anyone thought.
Per Sassybot:
Players can wishlist Faire Trade now on Steam and choose between the base game and the Founder’s Edition, which includes exclusive cosmetic items such as a sharply tailored shopkeeper’s suit available only during Early Access. Early Access players will also gain first access to new features as the game evolves and can provide feedback to guide development ahead of the full release via Discord.
Key Features:
- Build Your Dream Fantasy Store – Stock and sell everything from fresh goods to enchanted armor, adjusting prices to stay ahead in a shifting economy.
- A Dynamic World – Explore a bustling village with eccentric villagers while adapting to seasonal changes that can bring new opportunities and unique challenges.
- Decorate & Customize – Begin with a small store and grow your business into a thriving marketplace, designing each detail to attract more customers.
- Craft & Conquer – Shape your trade through diverse crafting trees: forge weapons and armor, craft pottery and instruments, farm fresh produce, or even swindle your way to profit.
- It’s Just Business, Baby! – Hire and train employees, balance wages, and make tough business decisions to keep your shop running smoothly.
It’s fair to say that if you’ve watched the likes of The Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, or any other fantasy epic, and thought, “I really want to manage a shop in that universe”, Faire Trade is for you.
Faire Trade launches in Early Access on 16th October, over on Steam.
