As of today, it has now been announced that the upcoming game from Nine Dots Studio, Outward 2, will have a set release date for its arrival into early access on Steam, and for those who have been a fan of the original Outward game or have been eagerly awaiting its sequel, the good news is you won’t have to wait long!

Outward 2’s Mr. Potato Trailer is a Breath of Fresh Air for Both Big and Small Gamers Alike

As of today, it has now been announced that Outward 2 will begin its early access run on July 7th, with a closed beta starting on May 26th, to allow those who sign up to trial the game and its features before its early access release.

This information has come to us through a rather interesting trailer dubbed the “Mr. Potato Trailer,” as it is an announcement trailer that is commented on by Mr. Potato from Nine Dots Studio as he talks about the game and its various possibilities.

The main possibility that is mentioned during this reveal trailer is that Outward 2 will be accessible to a larger community of gamers, as the game’s specs are more open and allow for even the lowest-end PCs to run it with an actual potato setting for players to experience the game.

Although this trailer doesn’t showcase too much gameplay, it does provide players with the confidence in knowing that even if they use a low-end PC, they will still be able to enjoy Outward 2 and all its features, as it is showcased during this trailer that even couch co-op is still an option within Outward 2, even on the lowest graphical settings.

Within this trailer, we can also see what the game looks like on these graphical settings, both in terms of the game’s world and the gameplay itself, as the trailer showcases how the game world looks brilliant even in the potato setting while also being rather smooth in terms of combat and exploration.

In the past, there have been a few different trailers that also tease some of the gameplay mechanics and realism that Outward 2 will employ throughout the game, whether it be the unique combat styles of each weapon, the need to hydrate, dropping your bag to roll better, camping out under the stars, healing wounds properly, and so much more, with each mechanic being a core pillar of the game that makes it stand out amongst the rest.
