As of today, it has just been announced that Crimson Capes will be releasing on February 12th with a brand-new trailer that showcases the game’s various locations; it also showcases the amazing Soulslike combat that players will be able to use to take on a plethora of enemies that block their path.
Crimson Capes Uses its 2D Perspective to its Fullest With Unique Combat Encounters and Combat Techniques
During the release date announcement trailer for Crimson Capes, we got a good look at the upcoming game in a lot of different ways. Throughout the trailer, we mainly got a look at the combat that will be present throughout the game, but we also got a good look at some of the bosses, locations, and even the overworld of Crimson Capes, so that we can see what world we are getting into.
As stated above, Crimson Capes adopts a Soulslike method to its combat, as players can pick from four different classes, each with their own unique combat style, allowing each player to have a varied gameplay session. However, thanks to the loot players can earn during their sessions, it looks as though these classes will mainly focus on weapons granted rather than abilities/perks, as players are able to purchase different talisman-like objects that will likely alter their combat prowess.
From what we can see within the trailer, each of these four classes utilizes different weapons, one being a rogue-like character using daggers and quick attacks, and another being a knight using a longsword that deals heavy damage but slow attacks. This means that each class will be suited to a different playstyle, allowing players to adapt to their needs and see what feels best for them.

Along with revealing the different combat styles players will be able to use within Crimson Capes, the game’s world was also teased within this trailer, as players can see various locations that they will explore. Whether it be a forest, a dungeon, a cave, or even a ruin, there will be numerous locations to visit, each with its own unique enemies and bosses to encounter.
What makes these locations stand out is that they are each hand-crafted by the developers and are full of detail both in the foreground and the background, allowing the player to look deeper into the game world.
Finally, during the trailer, it is revealed that players will be able to take on more than 25 bosses within Crimson Capes, with only a few being showcased during the trailer, but what we can see is that each of these bosses will be a new experience from the last, as we won’t expect a knight to fight like an octopus or a spider to fight like a knight, so each boss will be a totally fresh experience for the player.
