Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days is a side-scrolling, shelter survival game that’ll have you questioning your position on all sorts of things, as drastic and desperate situations reveal themselves the longer you play, and the more you explore. Now, thanks to a newly revealed ‘major update’ from Pikpok, that looks to have expanded greatly, with all new endings, NPCs, and more to keep your post-apocalyptic appetite well-satiated.
Straight from Pikpok:
“Plans change, and in Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days, there’s now even more plans for players to execute as they look to escape Texas – and zombies! That’s right, the newest major update for the hit Early Access title is bringing with it devastating new endings, more loved and may be some hated NPCs, a recruitable survivors to help fend off the undead and a new district with all new locations for survivors to explore (and possibly die in).
The year is 1980 and Texas is overrun by zombies looking to tear off the flesh of anyone who comes near. So far, developers PikPok have bought guns, curveballs, difficulty settings, infection mechanics to their beloved survival title but today marks their largest update yet, Spill Zone.
This new zone sees players explore Distillation Towers, CDC Camps and the ominously named Pit as they look for ways to escape alive. Together with new allies, they’ll face not just zombies but the billowing and deadly poisonous gas that threatens to consume those who breathe in its noxious fumes.
A deadly new threat calls for an incredible new escape plan and that’s exactly what PikPok have in store for their intrepid survivors, assuming they make it that far.”
The Spill Zone update will be available to all players today at 11PMBST/6PMEST, and to see it in action, check out the trailer below.
Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days is out and in Early Access over on Steam now.
