After what has felt like a lifetime, Bandai Namco has finally given us the opportunity to get our hands on Little Nightmares 3, nearly a whole month before its release in October. The demo is available on digital storefronts as we speak, and will allow players a short stint to experience what they’ve been working on all these years since Little Nightmares 2 broke our hearts and scared us mindlessly.
Thankfully, it’s been confirmed that the demo WILL be playable with a co-op companion via online play, or you can choose to play with an AI companion if you prefer the idea of Little Nightmares 3 all on your own.
Set in The Necropolis, Little Nightmares 3 will feature two new protagonists, named Low and Alone, as they attempt to escape from ‘The Spiral’, a location best described as nothing but desolate and nightmarish. Proper Little Nightmares fare. Just like the previous games, it’ll be down to you to solve puzzles, avoid the hostile NPCs, and escape, with your life and potentially your sanity in check.

“This demo offers a 30-minute glimpse into the game’s tense, cinematic atmosphere. Navigate haunting environments, outsmart deadly traps, and survive a terrifying encounter with the Monster Baby, a grotesque inhabitant whose gaze can turn you to stone.”
It’s important to note that all the progress in the demo will not carry over to the main game, so don’t be surprised or disappointed when booting up the main game to see as such.
Little Nightmares 3 will be available on 10 October 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
