Stellar Blade’s Nintendo Switch 2 Port Brings a Whole New Player Base to the Game And Even Benefits From the Console’s Utilities

After 2 whole years and one PC port, Stellar Blade has now made its way onto the Nintendo Switch 2 for even more players to jump into the destroyed future where players will take on the role of EVE as she explores this world and defeats the numerous enemies and bosses found within.

During Gamescom, I was granted the opportunity to try out the Nintendo Switch 2 port for Stellar Blade as I explored the tutorial section of the game, fought its boss, attempted the boss rush mode, and was even teased an upcoming feature that ties into the Nintendo Switch 2’s unique utilities.

Although I have already played Stellar Blade before on my PlayStation 5, it was very different playing it on the Nintendo Switch 2 in handheld mode, as the graphics were, no pun intended, stellar, but the frame rate wasn’t as high as players from PlayStation 5 and PC would be used to, but that didn’t diminish how the game actually played.

As I have said above, my time with the port was mainly focused on playing through the games’ tutorial section and boss rush mode to see how the Nintendo Switch 2 handled both of these components, and per my experience, they ran rather well, especially the boss rush mode, as some of the bosses can be quite demanding, but the Nintendo Switch 2 held its own.

Sadly I wasn’t able to play this section of the port, but I was informed that with this port, players will be able to play a minigame within Stellar Blade where they can use their robot to shoot targets, but instead of simply using the joystick, players can actually use the mouse feature that the Nintendo Switch 2 boasts in order to aim and shoot the robot’s gun.

Other than this, the Stellar Blade port onto the Nintendo Switch 2 is pretty standard with a few bonus features for those who are looking to purchase the port when it releases sometime towards the end of 2026.
