After a shocking announcement, Secret Mode and the developer, The Chinese Room, announced the upcoming additional content for Still Wakes the Deep in the form of Still Wakes the Deep: Siren’s Rest.
Accompanied by an announcement trailer, players have an all-new look at the upcoming additional content that brings them back to the original game’s setting, as well as the new characters and situations they will come across during their time with this additional content.
Still Wakes the Deep: Siren’s Rest Takes a Trip Down Memory Lane

As stated above, it was recently announced that Still Wakes the Deep will be getting brand-new additional content in the form of Siren’s West. However, for those who played the original game, one burning question might be asked: “What can the story be about?”
From what we can see within the trailer, the player will be returning to the oil rig Beira D as a new character as they investigate the wreckage that has now been submerged underwater and has sustained over a decade’s worth of damage and flooding.
Throughout the trailer, it is made clear that the player will spend a significant amount of time underwater as they explore the Beira D wreckage, witnessing familiar locations, discovering the dead bodies of old crewmates, and eventually surfacing within the oil rig to explore what has not been flooded.
Although it is not clear if we will see any of the familiar enemies from the original title make an appearance, there are a few moments in which the odd entity can be seen within the rig that the player will likely have to avoid and flee from as they did in the original game.
Since the game is taking place 10+ years after the original title takes place, it would make sense that some of the enemies from the original game would be deceased; however, when a strange entity like the one in Still Wakes the Deep enters the mix, there is no telling what is waiting for us around the corner.
As an added twist to the trailer, we also got a glimpse at the mind-bending illusions that the game will likely pull on the player, as voices can be heard, things can be seen, and all kinds of unnatural phenomena take place within the trailer, showing that this additional content will have players at the edge of their seats.
The final shock of the announcement trailer for Still Wakes the Deep: Siren’s Rest is that the additional content will be available to players on June 18th, 2025, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
