One click and you're done. Thank you!
The DMZ mode in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 is a completely new version with a ton of never-before-seen content to explore and discover, even before combat. To make your playing experience easier and more enjoyable, here are a couple of tips and tricks that you can use before stepping into a battle in DMZ, and even if you only follow a few of these, you’ll find yourself dominating far quicker and easier than before.
Gear Up

Once you’re in the FOB (Forward Operating Base), before deploying, you can prepare your basic backpack to be ready for combat. This is a key part of surviving as long as possible in combat. Try to get a medium backpack for more loot, a 2-plate vest, and at least one bandage.
The bandage will guarantee that you can recover at least your full health once you go down in combat. Once revived, you’ll have your full health again for a considerable time. As for the 2-plate vest, it will protect you from a little more damage and prevent you from being killed easily.
Upgrade Your Cash Maximum
Try to upgrade your cash maximum quickly so you can accumulate more money. In the traits section, go for the Survivalist tier first. This way, you can revive quickly, heal yourself more effectively, and gain all kinds of abilities that will help you avoid getting killed and losing all your progress, therefore increasing your overall take-home cash wise as you die far less.
Ammo Box
This single-use box is the most important item to have in your backpack. With this field item, you and your teammates can replenish all the ammo for your primary and secondary weapons. When you eventually start running low on ammo, this will be your emergency lifeline to survive the next waves of enemies.
Whether you go for one per party, or one per person, you need at least one to increase the chances of exfilling in tact come the end of the game. The more the better though, to be honest.
Party Up

While this is obvious, you can team up with up to three players in the DMZ mode of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. You can choose a more lone-wolf experience, but the number of enemies will remain the same as if you were playing with a party. Also, you can only revive yourself once when playing alone. So, it is not recommended to enter a mission alone, even if you are a good player. At some point, enemies will start coming at you from every possible angle, and it’s at that point you’d wish you had some more friend for DMZ.
Get a Vehicle
Activision and all the studios behind the game have made significant changes to DMZ. However, there is still a ton of ground to cover. The map is smaller than in previous iterations, but not small enough to cover it all on foot. So, it is recommended to grab a vehicle and always keep it close so you can flee a base or a location without many difficulties. It’ll also make covering huge amounts of ground far quicker than on foot, and if you’re seen, you have some cover and speed compared to the alternative.
Do Not Grab Enemy Weapons
With the exception of an emergency, it is not recommended to grab an enemy weapon from the ground. This is because most enemies do not have any spare magazines apart from the one already loaded. So, you’ll be left without bullets soon. The advice we can give you is that if you have an Ammo Box mentioned above, go to a safe place, replenish the ammo for all your weapons, and continue.
Of course, if you have no other option, you’re surrounded and beleaguered by enemies and need something to shoot, then go for it, but be prepared to be empty again pretty quickly.
Escape the Drones
There are some drones with four legs that will be sent to discover your location, but also to explode in your face. The best decision is to avoid them at all costs or destroy them from a safe distance so they explode far away from you. Interacting with them in any way will result in what could be a costly fire-fight, so if you can avoid them, do so.
Look for Medical Supplies

In this new DMZ for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, there is a 3D printer that can be used to create certain items so you can deploy into combat better prepared. To use this feature, you need materials. Throughout the city, there are different medical emergency tents where you can find various items to collect.
If you’re lucky enough, you may also find a medkit. With this item, you can restore your health completely, even after being revived, when your health drops to almost half. The medkit is key to keeping you in the fight. With the different medical supplies, you can print new medkits, so don’t overlook anything in the battlefield.
9: Do Not Get Greedy
Especially in the free-roam or dynamic mode of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4’s DMZ mode, do not get greedy. Once you complete the objective, exfil with your team and secure the progress you have made so far. This is a more direct way to gain experience to improve your traits, secure valuable items, and prepare for your next mission. It is not necessary to grab every item you can find or try to destroy an entire enemy fortress. That will not end well.
10: Be Aware of the Lieutenants on the Map
The city of Hajin has several lieutenants scattered throughout the area, waiting for you. Their only objective is to take you down. They are powerful and have different kinds of very powerful weapons to shoot with.
First, it is not recommended to go up against them alone. Second, try to have as many explosives as you can to deal more damage. Lastly, they are extremely well-armored, so it will not be easy to take them down. Just like the drone tip mentioned above, the recommendation is to avoid them entirely, or go prepared for a fight.
That’s just our first 10 tips for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4‘s DMZ mode. There’s plenty of ways to play the mode, and plenty more ways to fail at it. Either way, good luck out there!
