Looking for another question for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4? We have that covered here.
Will the New Zealand Trick Work?
While we’re categorically not condoning it here, there’s not escaping the fact that many gamers will go to some extreme lengths to get access to the games they’re paying for slightly earlier than otherwise possible. The New Zealand trick refers to the popular method utilised by players around the world doing exactly that.
In short, you’ll go onto your console of choice, or PC, and change your Activision account settings so it reflects the date and time of New Zealand, as if you lived there. This means that it’ll think you’re in a region that technically gets the game a few hours earlier, and will give you access to it due to that.
It’s worked previously, and for plenty of non-Call of Duty games as well, so there’s an almost guarantee it’ll work again for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. You’ll need a meaty 115GB to install it on your consoles, so don’t get caught out and delete ahead of your pre-loading!
And that’s it, now you know the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 release times and dates, and can plan accordingly. We’ll be jumping in with you, and will certainly have a range of guides coming your way, so make sure to keep an eye out!
