In the run-up to Halloween, it seems like every horror game out there will surprise drop a new update, DLC, or something else entirely.
Surprising no-one, Halloween: The Game has done the same, and as arguably the go-to 2026 spooky release, it’ll likely be welcomed with open arms.
Releasing at the beginning of a stacked September this year, fans and non-fans of the franchise have taken to the asymmetrical horror game, and Illfonic seem determined to support it with new updates and paid DLC.
The free new map for Halloween: The Game, ‘The Tower Farm’, is reportedly influenced by Halloween 5, which goes well with the paid DLC skins on offer at the same time.
It takes the blood away from the streets of Haddonfield, and moves it to a farming community on the outskirts instead. Gone are the suburbs, replaced by trailer parks and pumpkin fields.

Michael also gets somewhat of a buff, with ‘new places to strike from’ including hay bales and farm equipment. It’s safe to say this new map could provide an entirely new way to play for some players, and offer some much needed variety.
This won’t be the last time Halloween: The Game releases new content, with both paid and free content promised at least three more times over Spring, Summer and Autumn in 2027.
