How to Find All the Puppets in Remothered: Red Nun’s Legacy (And Fix the Metronome)

So far in Remothered: Red Nun’s Legacy, there have been quite a few puzzles that you need to solve in order to progress within the game, but once you arrive in the second half of the residential wing, there is quite a large puzzle that you will need to solve to enter the later portions of the game.

How to Find All the Puppets in Remothered: Red Nun’s Legacy

The puzzle in question takes place in a room filled with toys where you will witness the Bride enemy leave a secret passage in the wall before leaving the room, with the passage sealed behind her. What you will need to do is head over to the mirror in the corner of the room to use your Secrets of Mirrors ability to reveal items in the room, with the main one being a small theatre with a puppet hanging inside it and the balcony key that you need to pick up.

Picking up this puppet, which is the Daughter puppet, and using the Retrocognition ability will allow you to learn that you need to use the puppets in a select order to open the passageway, with this being your main goal of this section of the game.

How to Find the Father Puppet

As you move around the residential wing in Remothered: Red Nun’s Legacy, you will have two different floors that you can explore unless you open up the original half of the residential wing, but you don’t need to do this, as the other side is no longer needed unless you want to find any lore you might have missed.

At this point, you should already be on the first floor of the residential area when you find the theatre and Daughter puppet, so what you now will need to do is head out of this room and head down the hallway past the metronome that you can use to save at. Just past this metronome, there is a door that should now be open after a Novice has slowly opened it, and you can head down there towards the balcony, but be prepared, as they will try and rush towards you from the balcony on your first visit.

Now you are on the balcony; there is nowhere else to go except right to the end, where you can get back into the building in a dining room where you can find the map for this floor, and you can even see another puppet that you can acquire later on, as it is trapped inside a dumbwaiter that is locked.

After you leave this room through the door that leads you back into the main part of the building, you will need to turn left and head into a larger room that has a pile of rubble in the middle and a statue to the right. On top of the pile of rubble, you can find a mirror that you can interact with that will allow you to use the Secrets of Mirrors towards the statue that will then spawn in the Father Statue so you can pick it up.

How to Find the Mother Puppet and Repair the Metronome

Now that you have acquired the Father Puppet, you can begin looking for the Mother Puppet, which you have already walked past, as it is the puppet from the Dumbwaiter, but sadly you need to move quite far into the game to actually acquire said puppet.

What you need to do is use the doorway next to the statue you got the Father puppet from, which takes you to a balcony that will lead you to a set of stairs that will lead you downstairs once again, but in a new area, which is a kitchen where you will need to solve a series of mirror puzzles.

The first mirror can be found in the actual kitchen, and it will allow you to create another mirror in the kitchen before using that mirror to make a third mirror in the main dining room area, which can then be used to create a doorway that leads you to the floor below, which is where you need to go to continue your search.

This final area is quite small to start, as you enter a wine cellar of sorts that has a metronome inside it, which is sadly broken, but once you inspect the metronome, you can also pick up a key with a musical note on it, which, if you have been exploring as you go, you will know is related to the music room, which is right next to the rubble room from the Father puppet.

After you finish interacting with the metronome, you will then receive a cutscene where the bride will once again make her entrance through a side door that was originally locked, so you would now need to sneak into the room she came out of, which leads you into a hallway with numerous rooms you can go into.

The main room you are looking for is to the left, as this room will have the crank that you will need to use on the dumbwaiter to access the Mother puppet, but you will still need to avoid the Bride to head back up to said dumbwaiter.

Before you access the dumbwaiter, you can also use this time to head over to the music room and access a chest that has been left on a table that requires the key you acquired from the metronome earlier, which, once you open it, you will obtain the metronome arm so you can repair the metronome in the wine cellar.

The reason we say get this first is that when you head over to the dumbwaiter in the small dining room, you will then use the crank to begin opening the dumbwaiter before it breaks, sending the puppet to the kitchen floor below, so you will now need to head back down there to acquire the puppet.

We will warn you: as you head back down to the lower floors, the Bride will still be lurking around and will be ready to try and kill you, so make sure that as you sneak downstairs back to the kitchen, she might be waiting for you, but there is a small chance she will make her way up to you.

As you enter the kitchen/dining room area, there is a second dumbwaiter on the right of the room where you will find the now broken Mother puppet, which you will need to try and fix later on within the section, but for now you will want to try and fix the metronome, as this will allow you access to what you need to repair the Mother puppet.

The final stage of this step is when you head downstairs into the wine cellar and repair the metronome, as this metronome will take you to the convent once again to gain a new ability known as Moth Manipulation, which can literally open doors for you, but be warned: once you leave the convent, the Bride will now be around waiting to attack you.

How to Fix the Mother Puppet and Find the Son Puppet

You are finally on your way to finishing the gathering of the different puppets for this puzzle, as once you finish with the metronome section and begin being chased by the Bride once more, you can now head into the side room of the wine cellar once again, where you can use the Moth Manipulation ability to open the door at the end of the hallway, which will lead you to a repair shop.

As you enter this room, you will need to go to the second bench in the room, where you can interact with it and repair the Mother puppet before heading out the door to the left of the repair bench to continue your search for the final puppet.

Luckily, you won’t have to go too far in your search, as you will follow the path until you reach a garage with a small car inside. This car is where you need to look for the Son puppet, as it can be found in the engine compartment at the front of the car, and there will also be a Retrocognition waiting for you as well.

Once you obtain this final puppet, you will be able to head through a double door on the left of the car, which leads you back to the basement with the cages where you spawned into this location, with the door you used to exit this area earlier now being locked by a cocoon.

To destroy this cocoon, there are a few different methods of doing so, as there is one version where a cage has some moths inside that you need to make your way into; there is a hive of moths in the room with the car, or finally you can stun the Bride and actually steal the moths that are roaming around with her, claiming a trophy at the same time and using them to open the door.

After you open the door, you can then run upstairs and make your way back to the toy room, where you can solve the puppet puzzle, but be warned: the Bride will continue to chase you, so we recommend you evade her first before you try to complete the puzzle.

Now you have all the puppets and are able to solve the puzzle, you will need to listen to the clue provided by the Retrocognition to solve the theatre puzzle, or you can continue reading as we have provided the answer below.

The solution for the theatre puzzle is quite simple: the Mother is on the far left, the Father is second, the Son is third, and the Daughter is last on the right-hand side. Once you place all of the puppets, the door will open, allowing you to continue your journey, which leads to a situation we won’t explain to save you from spoilers.
