When it comes to fighting back in Remothered: Red Nun’s Legacy, there are quite a few options that can aid you in both fighting back against the enemies lurking around and even stunning them so you get a short breather.
How to Use Defence Items in Remothered: Red Nun’s Legacy

While you are exploring Remothered: Red Nun’s Legacy, you will no doubt have noticed that there are quite a few enemies lurking around that are quite annoying to deal with, especially if they notice you. To solve this issue, the game provides you with quite a few different defence items that act in different ways.
Throughout the game, there are 3 different items that can be used as defence items, but one is more specifically used to aid you in stealth than as defence. The first item is the most obvious, and this is a melee weapon that you can use as a bat to hit enemies, but depending on the weapon you pick up, your uses can be very limited, and this can be seen by the progress bar at the top right of the screen around each weapon. At the beginning these weapons will likely only have 2 uses in them, but as the game goes on, the melee weapons will get more durable and will last through more hits.
The second defence item is an item that you can only use when you have been grabbed by an enemy, and these are typically sharp weapons such as scissors, a letter opener, and other items. These items only have a single use in them, so when you use them, you will need to find another, but these items are incredibly helpful in escaping the grabs of the enemies quickly and even damaging the enemies, making it easier to fully stun them if you follow it through with some hits from your melee weapon.
Finally, there is one final item you can use, but this is a lot less effective than the other two, and these are thrown items. Although these items are more used for distracting the enemies by creating a noise across the room, you can actually use these items to hit the enemies (gaining a trophy in the process) and knock them back for a moment, giving you time to escape and then hide.
Just like the other items, once you throw these items, you will understandably break them, so you will need to find another one, but luckily these are quite common, as they are an important commodity in Remothered: Red Nun’s Legacy.
