How to Solve the Secrets of Mirrors Puzzle in Remothered: Red Nun’s Legacy (And Unlock the Secrets of Mirrors Ability)

Throughout Remothered: Red Nun’s Legacy, there are a few different abilities you can unlock that can provide you with a completely new perspective on the game world, with one of these abilities being the Secrets of Mirrors, which you can unlock after completing a few different puzzles and objectives within the game.

To begin your search to unlock this new ability, you will first need to have made your way back outside the Ashmann Villa after opening the safe and obtaining the Ashmann Family ring thanks to the Retrocognition ability.

How to Solve the Secrets of Mirrors Puzzle in Remothered: Red Nun’s Legacy

Once you have made your way outside, you will have now met Rosemary as she convinces you to stay in the villa and guides you back inside to the foyer.

After making your way back into the Ashmann Villa, you sadly will be very limited in where you are able to go, and the reason behind this is because a lot of the doors will have now been locked, guiding you only one specific way. The specific way in question is towards the left-hand side of the building, towards the Room of Wonders.

As you arrive in this room, you will get taken into a cutscene where you will be introduced to a character who is dressed up as a bride, as you witness a rather unsettling cutscene before she turns her bouquet into a whip and begins to chase you.

Now, because the rest of the house has been locked up, there aren’t many paths you can choose to avoid this enemy, so be careful where you go and what you do, but this is the perfect time to use whatever items you might be hoarding so that you can avoid the enemy easily and with very little damage taken.

Finally, once you have avoided the bride, you can head back into the Room of Wonders, where you will now be able to find a new metronome that you can use to begin your search for the Secrets of Mirrors ability and its puzzle.

How to Find the Secrets of Mirrors Puzzle

The first thing you will need to do is obviously interact with the metronome and head into the convent once more, where the room will have once again changed slightly, with a mirror now appearing within the beginning room and the door now missing to leave.

In order to escape this room, what you need to do is look into the mirror to use the Secrets of Mirrors ability, which can now be used to uncover secrets hidden within the game world through the reflection in the mirror.

How this works is that the screen will go rather monochrome, with the edge of the screen having a fog-like effect which indicates a secret can be found within. You need to now search around the room to then focus on a door which is only visible inside the mirror.

As a bonus tip, there are situations in which multiple secrets can be found within the mirror, and the easiest way to know when you have found everything is when the mirror turns back to a standard reflection where the colour of the world returns and there is no longer a fog around the edge of the screen.

After you find your way out of the beginning room, you will then need to follow the hallway to the double doors you used last time to continue with the area, but this time it will be locked with a tile that is missing.

How to Find the Missing Tile

Now you have found the door that is blocking your path; you will need to find a way to open it, and to do this, you need to head to the right of this door, as you can now find a mirror here, which you can use to look around the hallway and find a key in a cabinet that is on the wall.

This key can be used to open up one of the bedrooms, which is the bedroom that is directly across from the double doors you are trying to access. After unlocking this room, there will be a few different items you can inspect using Retrocognition, and once you have finished searching around this room, you will be able to head back out of the room to find a stain of blood trailing back towards the mirror from before.

All you need to do now is follow the blood trail towards a crib that has now appeared out of nowhere, which has the tile placed inside that you can now pick up and place inside the door so you can move on with unlocking the Secrets of Mirrors ability.

Before you get to the actual puzzle, there will be a few instances of lore drops on the way, so make sure you pay attention to what is going on and being said, as it is incredibly important, and after this you will find the new puzzle to explore.

How to Solve the Secrets of Mirrors Puzzle

Finally, you have now managed to find the Secrets of Mirrors puzzle, which is very similar to the Retrocognition puzzle in that you need to pause 4 different pillars in specific positions, but first you need to uncover what is on said pillars, and to do this, you need to use the mirror that is located at the rear of the room.

As you use this mirror, you will need to keep an eye on the pillars as they continue to move and rotate, so you need to time your Secrets of Mirrors ability with the different pillars to reveal their information, and we recommend uncovering all the pillars first before you head over to the buttons to freeze them in place.

Unlike the first puzzle like this, there is only one image on each pillar, so knowing the solution is quite simple, but so you are aware, you simply need to make it so the symbols are facing you as you freeze them in place.

Once you manage to complete the puzzle, you will now be able to gain the item that will allow you to progress, which is a necklace that you can take into the next room to complete this convent sequence.
