How to Open the Gate in Remothered: Red Nun’s Legacy

So you have made it to the final puzzle within Remothered: Red Nun’s Legacy, and there is one final thing blocking your path, and that is a gate that has slammed down in front of you, blocking you from the final door that leads to the endgame.

How to Open the Gate in Remothered: Red Nun’s Legacy

To open this gate, you will need to find two items, but doing this may prove to be challenging, as this next area is an annoying maze that you have to navigate, so you will have to be careful where you are going and take things slow, as there will be a Novice lurking around the catacombs that you will need to avoid.

Due to this location being a maze, we will try and direct you as best as we can towards the items you need, but be warned: navigating this location is quite annoying, especially when you are being chased.

How to Find the Rope

To open the gate, the first thing you will need to find is a rope, as this is what will activate the pulley system once you gain the second item. To begin your search for this item, you will need to get out of the beginning room, and the path you want to follow is to your right.

While you are following this path, there will be some paths that diverge further into the catacombs, but for now you aren’t looking to follow these paths; instead, you are looking to continue following the path to the right until you end up inside a mortuary.

This room is where you will find the rope, but sadly it is locked inside a cold storage area that has been sealed with a cocoon, so you will need to find some Moths to open this door.

Throughout this entire area, there are quite a few different moths you can find, but the simplest ones to find are actually pretty close to this room. What you need to do is head out the door next to this cocoon and take a right, heading up the stairs.

There is a room to your right that is filled with lore, so we do recommend checking that out, but instead you will want to keep on going straight until you reach the end of the hall and then take a left, as the hive will be on the wall to your left.

Once you get this group of Moths, head back to the mortuary and open the cold storage tube, where you will now be able to find the rope hidden within.

How to Find the Pulley

We saved this till the second because, even though it is easier to find, arguably, it is better to save it till the last. After all, it is closer to the gate, but what you will need to do is make your way back to the beginning room, where you will find a mirror that has been covered with a cocoon.

This will be your next objective, as you will need to uncover this mirror to find the pulley. Again, if you are looking for the nearest Moth hive, you will want to take a left out of the beginning room, where you will enter a long hallway with dead bodies hanging on the walls.

At the end of this hallway, you will see a large room with a well inside; this room is where the hive can be found, with the hive being on the left-hand wall quite high up.

After obtaining this hive, head back to the beginning room and interact with the cocoon to remove it and access the mirror. There are some lore items hidden through the mirror, but what you are looking for is a door that is located next to the doorway you used to originally enter the area.

All you now need to do is head through this door, and you will find the pulley as well as even more lore that explains what is happening within the game.

Finally, all you need to do is head back to the gate that has closed, which you can easily find if you head out the right-hand side of the entrance room, as it will be right there. Then you will need to install the rope and the pulley, which will grant you access to the final area of the game, so prepare yourself for a rather interesting conclusion.
