After recently bring Dune: Awakening to consoles last month, it seems Funcom isn’t willing to rest on its laurels. Announcing today, the studio is bringing both Conan Exiles Enhanced and Aloft to PlayStation 5 in 2027. The former was released as a free update on Steam in 2025, and after much player demand, the same will be happening for both PlayStation 5 and XBOX Series X|S in 2027.
Existing console players will receive a free upgrade from PlayStation 4 to PlayStation 5, and XBOX One to XBOX Series X|S, and bought content will carry over seamlessly alongside with it. Additionally, crossplay will be available for the title either at launch, or shortly after!
Funcom CEO Scott Junior said:
“With Conan Exiles approaching its 10th anniversary, this is an exciting milestone for us and the community. We’re proud of what we’ve built together over the past decade and humbled by the reception from the players. We’re excited to continue supporting and developing the game for hopefully 10 more years. We look forward to seeing what the next decade brings for Conan Exiles and its dedicated community.”
Similarly to the Steam version, Conan Exiles Enhanced will bring console players a number of changes and improvements, including:
- Redesigned User Interface.
- Improved visuals.
- Improved lighting.
- Improved character designs.
- Quality-of-life improvements.
- Both Exiled Lands and the Isle of Siptah expansions included.
As already mentioned, Conan Exiles Enhanced won’t be the only console release from Funcom in 2027, with far softer and floatier Aloft coming to PlayStation 5 as well. The title will be leaving Steam Early Access and jumping to 1.0 in 2027, and the console experience will marry up, offering the full experience alongside it.
Astrolabe Interactive CEO Manuel Bergeron said of the news:
“Aloft has always been a passion project fueled by the unwavering support and love of our community. Reaching this milestone is incredibly exciting for us, as this will mark a new era for the game, and a new beginning for everyone taking to the skies.”
