The Final Fantasy 7 Remake was a massive triumph for Square Enix, and fans fell in love with this reimagined version of beloved characters. Fan-favorite heroes like Cloud Strife, Barret Wallace, Tifa Lockhart, Aerith Gainsborough are back and have much more to do than their original counterparts. With a story of this scale, the directors opted to split it into three games.
The first two games have already been released and set up the final part perfectly, and the real question is when it will be released. Fortunately, during a livestream featuring key figures behind the Final Fantasy franchise, they gave fans a hint as to when they could expect it to release, and the wait may not be that long.
Tetsuya Nomura Revealed That Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3 Is Making Good Progress

Square Enix took its sweet time to remake Final Fantasy 7 from the ground up with modern technology and to give this story and characters the development they deserve. The first part of the trilogy only featured the Midgard portion and was expanded with side content and a much more in-depth story.
The same move was made in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, which was released a year ago on the PlayStation 5 and remade the trauma that scarred fans in 1997. Those who already played the original version on the original PlayStation have an idea of when each title will end and begin.
As for the final part of the trilogy, creative director Tetsuya Nomura addressed some fan questions during the recent livestream and gave them hope that they might not have to wait too long to get the full remake experience.
Aside from the last part of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake trilogy, the developers also addressed that Kingdom Hearts 4 is making good progress as well. Fans did not waste any time and went for the throat for the most frequently asked questions. Nomura also revealed that the studio has already decided on when it will be released, but kept that information under lock and key during the livestream.
So yeah, things are moving along really smoothly, and the release timing has already been decided.
Game development can take a toll, and some dedicated fans would naturally feel impatient for a highly anticipated project. Fortunately, Nomura kept his word and is committed to wrap up the trilogy, but is open to the possibility of directing more games set in this world. The developers over at Square Enix may be on track to release the final part, and this was another reason behind the lack of DLCs for the last entry.
We’re moving forward according to that schedule right now, so please rest assured and be patient.
While there is no official title or release window for the third part of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake trilogy, fans can expect it will have the same level of dedication and love that the first two games received. Chances are it will follow along the lines of being a PlayStation exclusive before being ported to rival platforms, which happened to Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Rebirth.
