God of War is one of the most recognizable IPs in gaming, and a hall-of-fame player for PlayStation Studios. The franchise came from humble beginnings as Kratos went from a bloodthirsty god-killer to a caring father, but some fans are not satisfied with the amount of content Santa Monica Studios has released in the past few years. After years of rumors, all of the details about adjacent projects have finally been revealed.
Sony Just Shadow Dropped the Rumored 2D God of War Game

There is no denying that the future of the God of War franchise is looking bright despite the fact that most of the projects are remakes, prequels, and a live-action adaptation. Fans have been begging for new content after the Norse Saga ended with Ragnarok and the Valhalla DLC, and a trip down memory lane to Kratos’ youth with Deimos is enough to fill in the void.
During the recent State of Play, Sony officially revealed the rumored 2D platformer prequel from Santa Monica Studio and Mega Cat Studios. This is officially tied to the Greek Saga and features the return of TC Carson, the original voice actor of Kratos, as the narrator. Not only did the showcase feature some gameplay, but it also revealed that it is available now exclusively on PlayStation 5.

The Original God of War Trilogy Is Getting the Remake Treatment
This is at the top of highly-requested remakes, and it was high time to make it happen. If you have yet to play any of the Greek Saga stories, you can hold off and wait for the upcoming remake trilogy. TC Carson is back, and early details about this remake project are vague, considering it is still in early development, but Carson has assured fans that their patience and support will be rewarded.
