Against All Odds, Dispatch Has Already Reached an Impressive Milestone

Dispatch was released back on October 22, 2025, for the PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam, and it was a breath of fresh air. After TellTale Games couldn’t release another exciting decision-driven game, some of its employees packed up and took matters into their own hands. This became the foundation of AdHoc Studio, and it scratched the itch for most fans.

In this story, you fill the shoes of Robert Robertson, formerly known as Mecha Man, and are now an active dispatcher for the SDN. It is not like most superhero games that are full of side activities and whatnot, but a talented and diverse voice cast, art design, and stellar writing did all the heavy lifting. These are all the studio needed to reach an impressive milestone for a debut title.

The gaming community has high hopes for Dispatch, especially since it is from former TellTale Games developers. The people behind this project are well aware of the void left by their previous studio and came out swinging with an original story. Other than the strong ensemble voice cast that consists of known Hollywood actors, YouTubers, and professional voice actors from Critical Role, this was a game made for fans by fans.

Despite being limited to PC and PlayStation 5, and no physical release for the console side, AdHoc Studio revealed that Dispatch has already sold 1 million in 10 days. This is no minor feat, especially for a new studio and an original IP.

It is worth noting that Dispatch is more of a series than it is a game. There was a free demo on Steam a few months ago, and it kicked the hornet’s nest. It significantly boosted the player’s interest in another strong narrative and decision-based game.

The first two episodes were available on release day, while the next two came a week after. There is a good chance that Dispatch sales will reach higher numbers once all episodes are released. The developers hinted at the possibility of an Xbox Series X/S port alongside the Nintendo Switch 2.

As for the physical release, AdHoc Studio played coy, and it seems like the developers are only waiting to see how the gaming community feels about it. At this rate, anything is possible, and once the full story is released, it may encourage more players to try it out.

The first four episodes of Dispatch are now available on PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam.
