Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has pretty much taken the world by storm for reinventing the traditional turn-based RPG genre. Everything about this project is praiseworthy; from the visuals, story, music, and combat, it is a passion project made by talented developers. This game received stellar reviews for a near-perfect launch, but this isn’t stopping the developers from adding even more improvements.
While other developers tend to abandon their games once it is out in the world, the people behind this project have a bit more in the tank. There is no telling what new features and improvements players will receive, but Sandfall Interactive has never steered them wrong yet.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Is About To Become Much Better

The gaming community immediately fell in love with Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and rightfully so. Sandfall Interactive delivered a visually stunning and relatable story about grief, and director Guillaume Broche never lost sight of the bigger picture. Broche wanted the gaming community to have a great experience from start to finish.
Broche stated that this may be their studio’s first game, and wanted it to be accessible to as many players as possible. The modest price tag does not reflect the game’s overall quality, and proves AA titles are still worth buying today. In the subject of accessibility, Sandfall Interactive announced they are planning to add new features soon.

We're currently exploring a wide range of future improvements — from accessibility features to new content and all sorts of bits and bobs we're actively assessing.
Naturally, this also includes expanded localisation options!
The developers didn’t specify what kind of new content players will be experiencing, but there’s a good chance the highly requested photo mode will be added sometime soon. Perhaps the developers will include more mini-games or a new story DLC for new content. The real highlight here is the focus on localisation options.
The more language options this game has, the higher the chances for players to be more immersed in it in their native tongue. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 was filmed with English and later dubbed in French, but there are a handful of subtitle options to accommodate different players. Here are all the subtitle options you can use while playing:
- Japanese
- Korean
- Simplified Chinese
- Polish
- Spanish
- Portuguese
- Russian
- Spanish
- Italian
- German
- English
- French
The developers clarified that they have yet to finalize a timetable for these improvements, but the fact that they are announcing it ahead of time speaks volumes. Sandfall Interactive made Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 with every player in mind, and this philosophy continues to drive the team to remove language barriers.
