god of war and christopher judge teasing some new reveals

Could Christopher Judge Be Going Back on His Word Over OG God of War Trilogy Remake?

After the success of the Norse Saga, the gaming community is interested to see the developers return to the original God of War trilogy set in Greece and apply whatever advancements and other quality-of-life improvements they have made; however, Christopher Judge initially commented that he would not take any part of a remake out of respect for the original voice actor of Kratos.

Remasters and remakes are all the rage nowadays and Santa Monica Studio is aware the demand for a remake trilogy is high. Judge went live on TikTok and ended his stream by stating that the next few weeks will be full of announcements. Perhaps Sony will officially unveil the rumored remake trilogy, or something else entirely.

Fans have been asking the billion-dollar question: where will Santa Monica Studio take Kratos next after wrapping up the Norse Saga? Christopher Judge rattled a few cages too early that the next weeks would be full of announcements. All bets are off for what these announcements could be and the ending of God of War Ragnarok: Valhalla has left an opening for more stories to tell with these characters beyond the Nine Realms.

New God of War Content Will Be Announced in the Coming Weeks

While it’s arguably too early to announce a direct sequel to the last installment, God of War: Ragnarök, chances are the upcoming announcements could be related to the Secret Level anthology episode on Amazon Prime Video, a new spinoff title featuring Atreus as the main character, or another expansion like Valhalla. The gaming community is eager to see where Kratos and his friends will go next; however, some fans are still attached to the past and are hoping for a remake trilogy.

Christopher Judge went on record a while ago and said he would turn down the chance to voice a younger version of Kratos if the developers approached him with a remake project. However, he could always change his mind and do it anyway with the blessing of TC Carson. Judge respects what Carson achieved before him, and he probably realized it would be a disservice to take over his work but thought of the bigger picture to provide the fans with the definitive version to experience the entirety of God of War.
