KIBORG is an upcoming cyberpunk roguelite game and is set to launch on April 30, 2025, bringing fast-paced, brutal combat to PC, PlayStation, and Xbox consoles. Developed by Sobaka Studio, the game immerses players in a dystopian world where survival hinges on mastering a mix of melee and ranged combat while utilising a range of cybernetic enhancements.
The Story of KIBORG
In KIBORG, players step into the shoes of Morgan Lee, who has been falsely accused of war crimes and banished to a remote prison planet to serve a 1,300-year sentence. Even death won’t help Morgan out here, as his captors can continuously resurrect him until he has served every last second of his unthinkably long sentence. However, Morgan does have one chance at freedom in the form of victory in a twisted, blood-soaked reality show called; “The Last Ticket.”
Starting off with nothing but his fists, Morgan must battle through waves of deadly enemies, acquiring a variation of weapons that range from blades and blunt objects to futuristic firearms. Well-timed dodges, tactical blocking, and making use of melee combos will be key to Morgan’s survival. His cybernetic implants allow for some powerful enhancements, letting players execute special moves such as rocket-propelled dash punches and shockwaves.
KIBORG’s Gameplay: Brutal Roguelite Action
KIBORG makes uses of the roguelite formula, meaning it contains a progression system that rewards persistence. Each of Morgan’s runs through “The Last Ticket” earns him money to purchase for permanent upgrades, ensuring that you feel stronger with every new run.
Volkov is the host of the sick reality show, and he is greatly delighted to witness the violent carnage unfolding before him. However, the decision to revive Morgan after every death could prove to be a mistake for this nasty villain.
