KIBORG Build Guide: Best Early Weapons, Implants, and Augmentations

KIBORG Build Guide: Best Early Weapons, Implants, and Augmentations

Building the right loadout early in Kiborg can make a massive difference between a quick death and surviving long enough to rack up some truly significant earnings. The first weapons category you’ll have access to is the Beginner class, so here we will focus on building a loadout using Basic weapons, implants, and augmentations that are all accessible within the first few hours of the game.

Melee Weapon: Staff

The Staff’s proficiency in crowd control makes it a standout melee pick. Its wide swings are perfect for thinning out groups, giving you breathing room without needing to execute with pinpoint accuracy. In a game where getting surrounded spells death, Staff users tend to survive longer. Not to mention that feeling like Donatello is pretty cool, as much as I loved the feeling of using Kiborg’s Shiv and Combat Knife.

Sidearm: MH-3 Driver (Sawn-off Shotgun)

The MH-3 Driver delivers heavy, close-range damage, which is perfect for finishing enemies off when melee combat gets messy. It feels incredibly satisfying to use and can bail you out of many bad situations. The MH-2 Bustler Machine Pistol may provide a bit more variety, but I found myself more reliant on the Driver during my longest runs.

Primary Weapon: MSG-3 Workhorse

True to its name, the MSG-3 Workhorse is a super dependable machine gun. Boasting a decent fire rate, manageable recoil, and effective damage, it is a great all-rounder. Early runs demand you to stay on the ball while still getting a feel for enemy attack patterns, and this flexible, jack-of-all-trades option is perfect for those still learning the ropes.

Best KIBORG Implant Category: Source

While the Fenrir category was also a favourite of mine, allowing for increased attack speed and freeze powers, the Source implant, allowing you to summon an allied NPC combatant as you enter each new room, is invaluable. This is particularly essential during boss fights or when rooms get very busy very fast, and attacks are coming towards you thick and fast. An extra weapon on your side can mean the difference between victory and defeat.

Best KIBORG Augmentation: Fast Reload

Reload speed really matters in the heat of Kiborg’s fast-paced combat, where every second counts. Fast Reload helps to keep your offensive momentum going during chaotic skirmishes, and as handy as improved ammo reserves are, there isn’t much point carrying those extra bullets if you can’t load them into your weapon fast enough.

This loadout worked for me and will definitely make for a decent foundation, but every player is different. The Guardian implant for the Heart, which regenerates health, and the Gunslinger torso implant, which deploys a drone to shoot alongside you. Experiment with these and other slight variations, like Thundergod, to get a feel for what works for you.
