During the recent The Upload VR showcase, Saber Interactive finalized the showcase with its recent “Swarm” trailer for its upcoming title, World War Z VR. During this trailer, we got a few glimpses at some of the gameplay that will be coming in said title, as well as the different locations and enemies players will take on as they attempt to save the world.
World War Z VR Brings Zombies Up Close and Personal in Recent Trailer
From start to finish, we can see within the World War Z VR ” Swarm” trailer that players will be taking on hundreds of zombies in the form of hordes that the World War Z franchise is synonymous with as players use all kinds of weaponry to defend themselves from the threats that lurk around each corner.
Whether it be using a pistol, shotgun, or even a mounted turret, there are plenty of weapons that players will be able to take advantage of within World War Z VR, and thanks to the game being in VR, players will be able to fully utilize these weapons how they see fit.
In most FPS games, players will only tend to be able to use one weapon at a time, but as we can see during the trailer, players can use multiple weapons at once. Just like in the trailer, we can see someone wielding a pistol in one hand and an assault rifle in the other.
These skills will come in handy for players, as the zombie hordes seem to number in the hundreds as well as take numerous paths to get to the player, even in some cases wandering towards breakable scenery that could wipe them out, providing you with plenty of time to escape.
Speaking of escaping, from the trailer we can see that there are a few different locations that players will be able to explore within World War Z VR, each looking as unique and detailed as the last with all kinds of paths and locations to explore as you take on the numerous zombies chasing you down.
Finally, to conclude the trailer, it is revealed that World War Z VR will be coming to both Meta Quest and Steam VR for players to access from August 12th.
