WWE 2K25 is finally here, and with it, a long list of collectibles, unlockables and rewards to work your way through in the various modes. With this guide, we’ll walk you through the steps of unlocking Super Cena in WWE 2K25. There may be nearly 400 unlockable wrestlers on the roster, but Super Cena is the only one (at present) that can boast a 100 Rating, making him a highly desirable unlock for anyone wanting to dominate in the ring.
How to Get Super Cena in WWE 2K25
Unlocking John Cena’s Super Cena variant couldn’t be simpler, once you know how and what to do to actually get him. Firstly, you’re going to want to play WWE 2K25’s MyRISE mode, as that’s the only mode you can actually unlock him in. The actual unlock requirements is getting a cumulative 20 stars in MyRISE’s Live Event Matches, which you’ll be able to enter by locating and Troy Simpkin, but also biding your time, as the mode will force you into Live Event Matches as well.

For those unaware at this point, every match in WWE 2K25’s many modes features a star rating to denote the quality of the match itself. Getting higher-rated matches will result in a number of different rewards at the time, depending on the mode you’re in, but to unlock Super Cena, it’s specifically MyRISE and a total of 20 stars we’re interested in.
When you’re in one of MyRISE’s Live Event Matches, you’ll want to raise the star rating of the match as high as you can, and this can be done in a number of ways:
- Using a variety of moves. Don’t just spam the same suplex.
- Creating memorable moments. Finishers, signatures, submissions, moves outside the ring etc.
- Using weapons. If the match allows, hitting your opponent with different weapons will quickly boost the star rating of any match.
That’s not an exhaustive list of how to increase your star rating, but it’s certainly a good start. You’ll have to do a minimum of four matches to unlock Super Cena, but realistically it could be five or six.
You’ll Need This: All MyFACTION Persona Cards and How to Unlock Them
Once you’ve hit the 20 star requirement, Super Cena will appear as a superstar to play with in both Play and Universe modes, and you’ll also receive a Sapphire Super Cena card for MyFACTION.
