Split Fiction – How to Beat the Parking Attendant

Struggling with Split Fiction? Your partner letting you down? Well, whether it’s during gameplay or a boss, we have absolutely all the answers you could possibly need. This guide will be your Split Fiction walkthrough for the second boss of the game, the Parking Attendant, and more accurately, how to beat the Parking Attendant.

How to Defeat the Parking Attendant

The Parking Attendant is the second boss of Split Fiction, and is a hulking mass of an enemy that can seem insurmountable at first, especially if you don’t have a clue what to do. Thankfully, we’ll run you through the exact steps to beat the Parking Attendant quickly and easily.

As with Split Fiction’s other bosses, you’ll notice that the Parking Attendant boss is split into three phases which follow the same routine, of sorts, just with each proceeding phase being a more amped up version of the last. However, it all ends up being utter carnage and adrenaline fuelled throughout the boss fight anyway.

Phase One

After running from a rampaging Parking Attendant, the boss fight will begin proper, with both Mio and Zoe on a platform facing the floating eye-like enemy. Get used to some bad puns and hilarious one liners, for the record. At first, you’ll have to deal with four main attacks:

  • Cars – The Parking Attendant will throw cars through the air towards you.
  • Motorbikes – Multiple bikes will come towards you across the platform.
  • Car Crush – Like a fly about to be swatted, the Parking Attendant will grab two cars and slam them together, attempting to crush you between them.
  • Lasers – Lasers will trace across the platform. Avoid at all costs.

Avoid the four attacks for long enough and you’ll notice the Parking Attendant turn around. This is where both Mio and Zoe can go on the offensive. Mio will have to grapple attack across and jump on the back of the Parking Attendant, running across it until the eye itself appears. Zoe will have to accurately throw batteries to this open eye, and Mio can once again slash away, with the intention of blowing it up.

Do this a few times, and make sure not to miss any or waste any time, and you’ll find yourself quickly onto the second phase of the Parking Attendant fight in Split Fiction.

Phase Two

As I’ve already mentioned, the Parking Attendant fight follows the general rule of each phase being amped up from the previous one, and it doesn’t disappoint whatsoever.

The routine is the same, but the attacks from the boss are much quicker, bigger and more damaging. You’ll have to avoid the following in this phase:

  • Buses – Instead of cars being thrown at you, you’ll have to dodge a bus. Yes, a bus.
  • Flaming Motorbikes – Bikes return this phase, except they’re exploding AND will leave fire all over the platform which you’ll also need to avoid.
  • More lasers – The least changed of the last phases attacks, but far more deadly.
  • Cars – More cars, but this time they move even more unpredictably.

Dodge the above, and you’ll have to repeat the same partnership of slashing and battery throwing as the first phase, except now you’ll have to deal with energy balls on the Parking Attendant itself. Split Fiction isn’t messing around.

Phase Three

Breaking tradition from the other bosses somewhat, the third phase of the Parking Attendant boss fight is a little different. After completing the first two, Mio will end up inside the boss itself, and be presented with three batteries she has to destroy, except the sword isn’t the difference maker this time.

With each battery, approach it and pry it open with the sword, and it’ll be down to Zoe this time round, as she needs to pull them out using her whip.

Do this three times and you’ll have the Parking Attendant beat… or so you thought.

Phase Four

In a shock no-one saw coming, the Parking Attendant boss fight has a fourth phase that you’ll need to overcome before you finally defeat it. Thankfully, it’s not difficult.

Having reformed from the debris of its previous form, the Parking Attendant will roll towards you, desperate to flatten you. Zoe will need to pull off its protective layer of metal and then hold it in place so Mio can do what she does best, using her samurai sword to unleash pain. By far the quickest and easiest of the phases, the Parking Attendant will be defeated and cut down to size.
