Split Fiction is a game that you’ll need your best gaming friend for, both due to it only being Playable with a friend, but also for the gaming chemistry required to beat some of its most difficult and trying puzzles. The Underlands is no different, and how to hatch the egg on that specific level will have even the best of us scratching our heads, but not anymore thanks to this handy guide.
How to Hatch the Egg and Progress in Split Fiction
As you progress through Zoe’s first full adventure, you’ll encounter numerous puzzles, trials and tribulations you and your partner will have to solve together. The majority are simple enough to understand and solve, but the hatching of the egg may prove troublesome to some, but once you understand the premise of the puzzle, you’ll be fine.

When you land on the ground after a particularly trying time for both Mio and Zoe, you’ll see several environmental items in front of you, including a seesaw made of bark, a giant tree branch, two birds and a half hatched egg, and one of Zoe’s flower power interactables on the wall to the left. In order to progress through the level, you need to do a few steps in order:
- Pick up the half hatched egg and place it on the left of the see saw. If you pick up the parents instead, they’ll run back to the nest angrily.
- Have Mio (as the Gorilla) jump on the other side of the see saw, which will catapult the egg into the sky.
- Zoe (as the Tree) will need to interact with the flower power bulb on the left, and grab the hanging branch. Move it all the way to the left, and then let go so it swings towards the egg when it’s in the air.
If you do those three steps correctly (it may take multiple attempts due to timing), the branch will hit the egg and push it into the thorns covering the exit, allowing you to continue your adventure into the Underlands. You’re also treated to a cute reunion of the two parents and the now freed bird from the egg as well. All is well that ends well!
