Struggling with Split Fiction? Your partner letting you down? Well, whether it’s during gameplay or a boss, we have absolutely all the answers you could possibly need. This guide will be your Split Fiction walkthrough for the sixth boss of the game, the Factory Warden, and more accurately, how to beat the Factory Warden.
How to Defeat the Factory Warden
The Factory Warden is the sixth boss of Split Fiction and is found in Chapter 4’s Test Chamber, a room that requires Mio and Zoe to make good use of the armor and Shield Busters that they received over the course of the chapter’s story. Using the Launch Pads in the room according to your armor’s color to trigger the room’s switches gets the Test Chamber operational and activates the Factory Warden.
Get ready for a fight, as the Factory Warden is no pushover with its ability to spew fire in different ways along with its laser drones that keep the pressure on our two heroines in a multi-phase fight that needs them to work together – and do it well.
Phase One

As the fight begins, take a look at the Factory Warden’s legs. They should be your main area of focus as you dodge and weave around the arena to avoid its attacks, which include:
- A stream of fire straight in front of it, which leaves a burning trail of flame on the ground that you will need to avoid.
- A jump and slam that spews a wall of flame in a circle around the Factory Warden that you will need to jump over with the right timing.
- A stream of flaming bullets that the boss shoots in a circle that can be quite hard to dodge without making use of conveniently placed grappling points that allow you to slide across the arena.
- Laser Drones that the boss summons every time you take down one of its legs. Deal with them quickly before they become a major nuisance as you dodge the Factory Warden’s other attacks.
As far as the strategy for this phase is concerned, target the switches you see on the Factory Warden’s legs, paying attention to their color in order to expose weak points that you can shoot to destroy the leg. This temporarily disables the boss while its Laser Drones attempt to defend it. Take them down quickly before resuming your assault on its legs.
Rinse and repeat until all of its legs are destroyed, and two giant switches appear on top of the boss that are being used to hold it above a pool of acid. Use the launchpads and your newly acquired Shield Busters to take down the Factory Warden’s shield, triggering the next phase of this boss fight.
Phase Two

Not to be defeated so easily, the Factory Warden ditches its massive body for a more mobile unit while the Test Chamber’s floor opens up to reveal a pool of acid that makes things very dicey for Mio and Zoe. What’s worse, the Factory Warden reactivates its shields and dives into the acid, surfacing only to take potshots at our writers turned heroines.
However, those shields are vulnerable to the Shield Busters. Just be sure to fire away at the Factory Warden with the right character as it moves around the arena, taking extra care to avoid its bullets while carefully navigating the platforms that are the only things between you and a very painful death.
With enough damage to its shields, the boss crashes to the ground, allowing Mio and Zoe to hop on to it and follow the in-game prompt to remove a giant chunk of its health. Wearing down its health triggers a cutscene in which it flies through the Test Chamber, crashing through a few vents before it eventually collapses right under a giant hydraulic press. Convenient, right?
Use the ramps on either side of the press to reach a pair of switches that Mio and Zoe can then activate to make the press slam down on the Factory Warden, crushing it into oblivion and ending this very memorable encounter.
