San Diego Comic Con is in full swing, with trailers for movies, tv shows and video games coming at you thick and fast. Yesterday, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced and showcased Batman: Caped Crusader – Chronicles, a new, tie-in, video game linking to the second season of its hit animated show Batman: Caped Crusader.

Fresh from San Diego Comic-Con, where it was revealed as the final announcement during the Batman: Caped Crusader Season 2 panel, here are all the details from Amazon on the new Batman: Caped Crusader – Chronicles game.
- Launches July 31: Batman: Caped Crusader – Chronicles arrives exclusively on Amazon Luna the same day Season 2 of Batman: Caped Crusader premieres on Prime Video. Play Amazon Luna on the devices you already own—no downloads, dedicated gaming hardware, or additional controllers required.
- Included with Prime, no additional cost: Prime members can play an 11-episode, 1–4 player cooperative detective adventure with friends and family, using their smartphones as controllers.
- Gotham City’s greatest voice talent: Just announced at SDCC, Matthew Needham, the new voice of The Joker in Batman: Caped Crusader Season 2, will also portray the iconic villain in the game, alongside Hamish Linklater and Michelle C. Bonilla, who reprise their roles as Batman and Detective Montoya.
- Watch and play in the same app: Starting today, Fire TV users in the U.S. and U.K. can access Amazon Luna games directly within the Prime Video app, making it easy to leap directly from the show into the game.
More details were revealed on the full blog post here, including gameplay details. You will “decode evidence, chase leads, and confront iconic DC Super-Villains across 11 gripping episodes. Along the way, each episode serves up new sleuthing minigames that will put your detective skills to the test. Investigate, interrogate and deduce your way through the tangled crime webs woven by Gotham City’s most devious criminals”, and it being created due to the show’s strong showing ratings wise for Season One, which meant Amazon Luna and Prime Video “created an opportunity” to allow us to play alongside the show.
As with other Amazon Luna games, it’s free for Prime members, and doesn’t require any addtional hardware to jump in and enjoy.
Batman: Caped Crusader – Chronicles will be available to Prime members and Luna subscribers on the Luna app on July 31st, in the US, UK, Canada Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Austria, the Netherlands, Poland, Sweden, Portugal, Belgium, and Luxembourg.
