Are you finding Atomfall difficult? Struggling to find the right weapon or keycard for the situation? How about missing a key recipe? Well, no matter the issue, we have everything answered to make Atomfall easy for you. In this guide we’ll explain where you will need to go to find the Signal Redirector in Atomfall, allowing you to bypass numerous threats, find new paths, and open entirely new areas in the game.
Where to Find the Signal Redirector
Within Atomfall, there aren’t many tools that you will need to traverse the land of Windscale, but there is one tool that will cause you distress, and that is the Signal Redirector. This item is something you will see required throughout the game as it can open certain doors, disable turrets, and so much more, so it is important to find this tool as quickly as possible.
To start, there isn’t just one Signal Redirector that you can find on your journey throughout Atomfall; there are two. Both of these Signal Redirectors can be found while following two separate leads; both of these leads are quite simple; however, they can be time-consuming and daunting to take on, so be prepared for a fight.
First Signal Redirector
The first Signal Redirector we will talk about requires a lot of legwork to find as you will begin your search within The Interchange, a secret underground facility that you will find yourself in a lot. Once you enter this facility, you will need to power up either Data Store D or Data Store B to gain access to the lower levels and the access door to robotics.

Once you have access to the robotics section of The Interchange, you will find a deceased body in front of the robotics door that has a note informing you that the creator of the Signal Redirector has his plans stored in this area, and you can find them within. Then you will need to head in and make your way through the area. After you enter this area, you will need to go through the tunnel until you enter a large room. To your left, there will be a higher level to the room.

Head up these stairs, and you will need to access the room with the large green screen with a blueprint of a robot on it. To do this, you will need to find a keycard, which will be in one of the other rooms on this floor. Once you obtain the keycard, you will gain access to this room, and there will be a button on the console with a large green screen. Pressing this will activate a voice log informing you that the creator of the Signal Redirector has left the blueprints in a box in Skethermoor.

Once you have this information, you will be able to continue your search by heading to Skethermoor and searching for these coordinates 39.6E 77.2N, and this will lead you to Brinsop Manor Ruins and a hedge maze. Using your metal detector, search the hedge maze around these coordinates to find a buried box.
TIP |
---|
Before leaving Brinsop Manor Ruins, head to the coordinates 38.0E 77.4N to find the Protocol Workshop, which holds the Windfall Keycard on a dead scientist’s body that is wearing a hazmat suit that will be used later to unlock the chest with the Signal Redirector inside it. |
Unfortunately, this isn’t the end as you find out that only half of the instructions are here and that a woman called Nora took the other half of the instructions years ago and is currently living in a barn not far from this location at the ordinates 41.8E 77.5N.
Once you have gone to this location, you will then be able to find Nora inside the barn, but be warned, she has trapped the area thoroughly. Now that you have found Nora, if you play your cards right in the dialogue options, she will inform you of a bunker nearby at the coordinates 41.3E 74.9N known as the Protocol Field Station, and within this bunker is a chest you can open. Now that you have opened this chest, you will finally have access to the Signal Redirector in all its glory.
Second Signal Redirector
If you are looking for an arguably simpler Signal Redirector location, then look no further as a second Signal Redirector can be found during the lead to save Dr. Garrow from the Protocol Prison in Skethermoor.
There are a few different ways to begin this quest, one of which is talking to Alf within the Grendel’s Head pub in Wyndham Village, and he informs you that Dr. Garrow was arrested and dragged to the Protocol Prison.
This Signal Redirector is arguably simpler, as all it requires you to do is simply break into the deepest depths of a prison and find the Signal Redirector from a security room. To save this from getting too in-depth, it is easier to state that once you enter the Protocol Prison, you will not find the Signal Redirector until you arrive in a large room that is full of small, singular caged cells, which will be photographed below.

Once you enter the main door of this room, turn to your left, and there will be a singular door with security written above it. Simply walk into this storage room, and on the far right-hand side of the room in a small caged area, the Signal Redirector will be sitting there waiting for you to claim it.

This may sound easy, but this is a prison and will likely take a lot of bullets and plan to break in and claim this item, so do not go in empty-handed or unprepared, as the mechs and guards will not hold back. Now that you have access to the Signal Redirector, you will be able to access a lot more of Atomfall than you were before, as plenty more doors will literally and metaphorically be open to you.
