Batman Arkham Origins Vengeance Launches, Removing the Sour Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Taste Left Us

Veteran players can take on the role of the Dark Knight again after the quiet release of the Batman Arkham Origins Vengeance mod. While the game developers of Splash Damage did their best to give the gaming community a somewhat accurate depiction of Bruce Wayne’s nightlife as a crime fighter dressed as a bat, one modder did not hold back and dialed the difficulty to a new level.

Batman Arkham Origins Vengeance Could Push Hardcore Fans to the Tipping Point

The game developers at the time prepared three difficulty modes for Batman Arkham Origins: easy mode for casual players, normal mode for a moderate experience, and hard mode for players who want the definitive Dark Knight experience. While the hard mode was quite challenging, talented modder GPUnity took matters into their own hands to give players a much more grueling experience.

The Vengeance overhaul mod introduces a new batch of difficulty options with more customized settings, including a permadeath mode. The Arkham franchise is renowned for its impressive combat mechanics and it may be a learning curve for new players, veterans can replay this masterpiece with this new mod applied for a change of pace and to put their skills to the test.

The modder reworked the difficulty of certain major bosses and increased the damage they could inflict on the Dark Knight for added challenge. Older tactics and strategies may be rendered useless with this new mod and even the most skilled player will have to adapt on the fly and beat the living daylights of criminals plaguing the map.

After seeing how Batman was poorly handled in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, fans can always replay the Arkham games to see the Caped Crusader in his prime. The combat of the recent live-service game was lackluster and repetitive, and some fans couldn’t invest in the story the same way the developers crafted the Arkham trilogy.
