EVE Frontier is finally getting a major update that’ll change pretty much everything about the hardcore survival MMO, as well as opening up the game to the public AND bringing an end to the NDA period, meaning everyone is now free to talk, discuss, complain, and compliment the CCP Games title.
Per CCP Games:
CCP Games is excited to announce the launch of Founder Access: New Era for EVE Frontier, the in-development space survival MMO for PC and Mac. A major update introducing new gameplay, content and Cycles, it also marks the first public step in creating a visionary sci-fi survival experience. EVE Frontier is set in an enigmatic and hostile galaxy shaped by player-driven activity. Players inhabit Riders, awakened clones flung into the Frontier without purpose or memory of the world around them. As they venture into the dark, they must build shelters, forge Tribes and harvest resources to grow in power and survive the constant threat of annihilation.
Founder Access: New Era opens EVE Frontier to the public, as it emerges from its closed alpha phase. For the first time, players are free to share gameplay footage, impressions, and experiences without any restrictions, ushering in a new, fully public phase of development.
Founder Access: New Era also kicks off a brand-new seasonal progression system for EVE Frontier called Cycles. The first Cycle, Promised Lands, starts today. Players will gain Grace for completing in-game missions and activities, rising to the top of each Cycle Leaderboard alongside their Tribe. As New Era continues, Cycles will continue to introduce new missions, objectives and content.

The 0.1.1 Founder Access patch has a plethora of big changes, the full list found here, but there are some standouts you should be excited for:
- Entered a new Era and Cycle – now beginning the 1st Cycle of the 6th Era.
- As of 14:00 UTC on 11th June, 2025, the EVE Frontier Non-Disclosure Agreement will have been discontinued entirely.
- Four new ship models.
- Terminal and UI update.
- Dynamic Music System.
- Heat: A new system enforces energy conservation, introduces travel speed limits, and caps capacitor generation in high-temperature environments.
- Tactical Camera: There are two new view modes that help the player navigate the universe. The TAC view [F2], which shows an abstract view of the grid, and the SYS view [F3], which lets you navigate the solar system.
- Keeper & Terminal: A new way to interact with the menus of the game in a sidebar.
The size and breadth of this update/patch may well come as a shock to players who have been playing the Early Access, as it will go a long way to not only fixing some issues, but also changing the experience and making it more user-friendly in other ways.
Starting with a new cycle, every player, new and old, will be on a level playing field, and should begin their exploration of the Frontier by accruing Grace, done so by completing various different in-game actions. Get to mining, find new friends, and more.
