Fallout Season Two has just received a small but worthwhile update. Actress Ella Purnell, who plays Lucy MacLean in the show, recently stirred up fans with a post on Bluesky, where she shared that she’s been playing Fallout: New Vegas on Xbox in order to prepare for the upcoming season.
The first season of the acclaimed show dropped on Amazon Prime in April 2024 and quickly became one of the platform’s biggest successes. Fans of the post-apocalyptic franchise were very happy with the show and its respect for the source material, something that is often lost when making a live-action adaption of a beloved gaming franchise.
Ella Purnell’s Post Sparks Fallout Season Two Speculation

Ella Purnell casually mentioned the critically acclaimed RPG as part of her preparation for Fallout Season Two. While she didn’t outright confirm anything, her words got fans talking.
The show got glowing reviews when it premiered back in April of this year. It even massively boosted interest in other games of the franchise. Titles like Fallout 4 and Fallout 76 saw a big rise in player numbers. The finale of season one ended on a bit of a cliffhanger, teasing the remains of New Vegas and hinting at what’s to come in Fallout Season Two.
I've been told to play fallout new vegas. Since I do love some source materials and this may or may not be prep for a certain job I may or may not be on soon. #fallout #falloutS2 #promosky #filmsky

Given the ending, it makes sense that the actress would want to play perhaps the best game in the entire franchise, especially if it ties into Fallout Season Two. The tease also set off speculation that the second season could be set in the Mojave Wasteland, where Fallout: New Vegas takes place.
Fallout: New Vegas, developed by Obsidian Entertainment and published by Bethesda, is considered one of the greatest RPGs ever made, and for good reason. Released during the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 era, it’s pretty much gained a cult following for its deep storytelling and RPG mechanics, plenty of memorable and well-written characters, and a unique post-apocalyptic setting which also takes a lot of inspiration from the Wild West.
Fallout Season Two of the show will likely be out sometime in early 2026, as filming has yet to begin.
