December PS Plus Games Include One Game Sure to Ruin Christmas

The gaming community caught a glimpse of the official lineup of December PS Plus games and among them is a proud Game of the Year winner. Players are reaping the benefits of this subscription such as extra storage space, online gaming, access to a large library of classic titles, and free monthly games. The lineup has significantly improved after each month and one game could drive a wedge between friends and family.

The official PlayStation blog revealed this month’s free games and there is something for everyone with each title. From co-op platformers such as It Takes Two to fighting extraterrestrial threats in Alien: Dark Descent, and to a cutesy MMORPG like Temtem, this is a compelling month to subscribe to PlayStation Plus.

December PlayStation Plus Games:

  • It Takes Two (PS4/PS5)
  • Aliens: Dark Descent (PS4/PS5)
  • Temtem (PS5)

The variety of games in this month’s PS Plus lineup could appeal to a diverse and large audience. While subscribers can avail of both PS5 and PS4 versions of It Takes Two and Aliens: Dark Descent, Temtem is the only current-generation title available. These games will be available to download on December 3 until January 6.

Sony has been making it difficult for the gaming community to refuse to subscribe to its online service, especially with easy and free access to great triple-A games. It Takes Two is one of those games that players must play at least once and it was a pleasant surprise for this month’s lineup. The game received universal praise from fans and critics alike and defied all odds by winning Game of the Year 2021 during Geoff Keighley’s The Game Awards.

Players can pass a spare controller to their friend or significant other as they work together to overcome various platforming puzzles and take on the roles of Cody and May – be prepared for a little stress and a need to work together though! If players have been on the fence about this game but have an active subscription, it would be a missed opportunity to skip Hazelight Studio’s crown jewel.
