Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is a massive triumph for Kojima Productions, and the gaming community is enjoying every second of it. While the first game had a much harsher reception at launch, the sequel ironed out all the issues and made this experience much more entertaining and streamlined. Returning porters are familiar with the core gameplay loop, which made their experience much better.
The game was released a month ago exclusively for the PlayStation 5, but the renowned director has cool new details to share. It is a testament to how players found the unconventional gameplay of the Death Stranding franchise to be entertaining. Kojima shared stats of how players transported their cargo all across Mexico and the Australian continent.
Hideo Kojima Reveals Impressive Stats From Porters in the Death Stranding Sequel

The gaming community had trouble getting into the first game, especially since it is not a traditional action-adventure experience. Hideo Kojima wanted to tell a different story and passed with flying colors; however, it took some time to convince the player base. Flash forward to 2025, porters are much more familiar with how to handle their cargo in Death Stranding 2.
Returning players are much prepared this time around, but Kojima made it easier for newer players. Porters are better equipped with tools, weapons, and vehicles. The game has been released for a month, and a fair few have already achieved the platinum trophy and finished everything the game had to offer. Hideo Kojima took to social media and shared incredible milestones from players all over the world.

Initially, the director was worried that he did too well of a job and this project was shaping up to be something else from what he envisioned. Fortunately, it all worked out, and it speaks volumes about how Kojima Productions learned from its shortcomings.
The Death Stranding 2 Hype Is Far From Done
It is impressive to see the community achieve incredible milestones this early into the game. A few months before the release, the director also shared stats that were accumulated across all versions of the first Death Stranding game. As a respected director, Hideo Kojima managed to unite the gaming community to experience his vision and to lend other porters a lending hand.
