Kingdom Come Deliverance 2: How Long Does it Take to Beat?

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is finally here, after a wait of seven long years since the release of 2018’s most surprising (and divisive) RPG. Set in a historically accurate time where everything takes time, and there’s no instant gratification, we can finally see what Warhorse Studios have been working on all these years, and get stuck into the expectedly massive world filled with quests, side-quests, distractions, collectibles, war and so much more.

How Long Does it Take to Beat Kingdom Come Deliverance 2?

‘How long does it take to beat Kingdom Come Deliverance 2?’ is as hard a question as it comes in gaming, purely because the answer comes down to the individual playing. What you do, when you do it, how you complete quests, and even whether or not you ignore them will all come into play, as well as the usual side-quests and exploring you’d expect in a mammoth RPG like this.

If you’ve played the first Kingdom Come Deliverance, you’ll know that the game brings a new meaning to an open world and freedom, and the sequel expands on that in even more ways. From learning skills day-by-day, finding unique ways to get passed troublesome quests, or deciding to not bother with them completely, Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 will offer you a huge sandbox to play in, and sometimes it can feel like it’s too much.

From hours-long quests to meandering through villages to see what (or who) you can find to interact with, your imagination will be the main limiting factor to what you can get up to in the game, and with the variety of different options each quest/side-quest has, multiple playthroughs are more than worth it as well, which will certainly add to the complexity and time taken.

The sheer breadth of the experience on offer means the trophies and achievements will take you a massive amount of time. It could be done quicker than the 200-hour mark mentioned, but it would require you to not only follow a guide but strictly stick to it, with no time for your own adventures, something that robs Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 of its main charm.

The main experience is far quicker, with the story coming in closer to 50-60 hours, although at a leisurely pace, it could be longer, or rushed through if necessary. The extras are where the real meat of the game is, and all the side-quests, locations, exploring, and mini-games will take you into triple digits with ease, but enjoy the ride, that’s the point!

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 was released on the 4th February, 2025 and is available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
