The Band Just Got Bigger in Now You See Me: Now You Don’t Trailer (But Not Better)

The band just got bigger in the Now You See Me: Now You Don’t trailer as the Four Horsemen return to give us another magic trick that probably will do some good to people. Other than the original members, including J. Daniel Atlas (Jesse Eisenberg), Merritt McKinney (Woody Harrelson), Jack Wilder (Dave Franco), and Henley Reeves (Isla Fisher), Morgan Freeman is back as the grandmaster of the Eye, Thaddeus Bradley.

New and young members are joining them too (we are yet to know their character’s names), with Rosamund Pike as the major antagonist, probably the head of the Vanderbergs, which we are yet to know is a powerful family or some big organization. Though we know, as the Now You See Me 3 trailer suggests, they are selling diamonds to warlords, arms dealers, and traffickers to help launder their money.

However, Mark Ruffalo’s Dylan Rhodes was missing from the trailer; but we may see him popping up in the next one, whenever that will arrive, or maybe the next movie, given that a sequel is already in development. One thing’s certain, though: the Four Horsemen have to stick the landing together for this is going to be their biggest heist to date.

It appears like J. Daniel Atlas isn’t going along with the rest of the Horsemen, as he tells the new recruits that they are dead—well, dead for him. Or maybe this might be another trickery, or maybe a casual dialogue Eisenberg’s character is delivering. We can’t say for sure until we watch it when the film arrives. Though don’t look too closely, because, as Atlas says, “The closer you look, the less you see.”

However, we eventually see them popping up in the middle of the trailer again as Atlas has successfully pulled the diamond from behind the glass as the prop explodes in Pike’s hand. All we can say, actually, they say, is they are saving his ass. Finally, as the entire band (including the new recruits) regroups at the Eye, Thaddeus Bradley reveals they are to bring down two generations of criminals with a single sleight of hand. It is safe to say that things just got intense in there.
