à la mode games, the indie studio made up of just two developers has brought Sorry We’re Closed, their debut release, to consoles! It took the PC world by storm on its original release, and now us mere console mortals have the opportunity to experience Michelle’s hellish ‘adventure’, as she tries to free herself from her new curse at the hands of the Duchess.
If you’re wondering how long it takes to beat Sorry We’re Closed, then look no further, because we have all the answers you could possibly need, and so much more.
How Long Does it Take to Beat Sorry We’re Closed?
Sorry We’re Closed is a unique game in every single way. From its throwback to classic survival horror, with its older style graphics, fixed camera angles and ‘stand and fight’ combat mechanics, to the overtly sexual overtones, theme and messages, with end of the world aspects thrown in, you won’t really be sure what to think the whole time you’re playing it.
Unlike the classic survival horror games its inspired by, Sorry We’re Closed features multiple endings, dialogue driven missions and choice trees that directly affect the outcome of the story, and an incredibly adult story that’ll make you question everything you thought you knew about love.
Sorry We’re Closed | |
---|---|
Main Story | 7 Hours |
Main + Extras | 9 Hours |
Platinum Trophy/All Achievements | 12 Hours |
The main story of Sorry We’re Closed may have multiple endings, but it’s a pretty standard affair all in all. The differing endings and even multiple choice side quests don’t differ enough in the effort required from the player. Send this letter, break this couple up and so on. You could drag it out, but don’t be surprised if you don’t finish the main story in as little as 7 hours.
Even the achievements and trophies seem to be inspired by classic games of old, with the majority being completed by killing X amount of enemies with different weapons, or different enemies and so on. It’s certainly not a taxing list, and the Sorry We’re Closed platinum/100% achievements won’t take longer than 12 hours. Less with a guide.

Sorry We’re Closed was released on March 6th 2025 and is available on PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
