Lost Records: Bloom & Rage four girls in the 90s

Lost Records: Bloom & Rage – How Long Does it Take to Beat?

From the minds of those responsible for the original Life is Strange comes an entirely different coming-of-age adventure. Don’t Nod venture back to the 90s, where a group of four teenage girls are experiencing summer adventures and having fun before it ends up a terrifying mess of… well, that’d be spoiling it.

Married with a dual timeline between the 90s and a modern-day reminiscing discussion between two of the now women, you’ll be thrown for a loop as to what’s going on, why it’s happening, and just how much no one likes Corey. The biggest question you’ll have though… How long does it take to beat Lost Records: Bloom & Rage?

How Long Does it Take to Beat Lost Records: Bloom & Rage?

Don’t Nod has brought a lot of the lessons they learned in the original Life is Strange full circle with Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, and largely improved the experience. Full of conversations, collectibles, and supernatural weirdness, you’ll be spending as much time with Swann (the protagonist) and her camera as you do trying to piece together exactly what is happening from one minute to the next.

Split into two tapes, aptly called ‘Bloom’ and ‘Rage’, the first tape has now been released, whereas Rage is scheduled to be released April 15th, 2025. Check back then for an update on how long that second tape takes, but the below is purely for the first tape, at least for now.

Lost Records: Bloom & Rage is a game that you’ll find yourself easily distracted in, in the best way. Using Swann’s camera as a primary gameplay mechanic, you’ll be filming all sorts during your adventure, and it’s this chasing of collectibles completion that’ll have you checking every nook and cranny for the last part of a memoir.

Memoirs are the collectible groupings of the game, whereby you’ll film certain items, animals, people, or situations, and upon collecting them all, you’ll have a film to watch. There is a huge amount of these, and some of them are incredibly easy to miss and are even reliant on you choosing the right dialogue option to force a situation to occur (an early example in Tape One ‘Bloom’ would be the air guitaring in the forest). Thankfully, Lost Records: Bloom & Rage offers a ‘Replay Scene’ option that also displays how many collectibles you’ve obtained and how many in total are available.

The main story itself could be rushed through in relative fashion if you didn’t bother with the collectibles or dialogue all that much, but if you’re doing that, Lost Records: Bloom & Rage probably isn’t the game for you, to be truthful.

Lost Records: Bloom & Rage‘s achievements/trophies aren’t anything out of the ordinary for this genre of game. Focusing on collectibles, dialogue options, and ensuring the right things happen is the order of the day, but with the option to replay scenes, they’re a relative cakewalk.

Lost Records: Bloom & Rage Tape One released on 18th February, 2025, with Tape Two’s release date penciled in for April 15th, 2025.
