Are you stuck trying to find your way into the cabin in Scene 13 of Lost Records: Bloom & Rage? How about trying to solve the padlock puzzle inside the cabin? We have both answers for you in this in-depth guide, and it’ll make one of the more frustrating sections an absolute cakewalk.
How to Get into the Cabin
When exploring to find a way in, you’ll come across various items, most of which you can ignore. However, an absolute must is to open the hatch on the front door of the cabin. It won’t get you in right now, but it is necessary and will help you later.
Circle around the cabin until you come across a window covered by debris. Interact with the wood to move it, and reveal a window covered by boards. Kat will comment about prying them off. You’ll find a branch and a couple of other things that Kat will say aren’t good enough, and you’ll have to keep looking.
Move to the right of the cabin and go a little bit passed it. You’ll see the same hunting hide in the far distance you’ve passed multiple times up to now, and you’ll come across an outhouse with a huge fishing hook on the side. Pick this up and go back to the boarded-up window and voila, you’re in.
How to Solve the Padlock Puzzle and Escape the Cabin
After entering the cabin, a small cutscene follows and you’re without your camera. Dust yourself off and walk towards the bright light at the front of the cabin, which is your camera being passed to you through that hatch you opened earlier. Now, you’ll be tasked with finding the answer to the padlock puzzle.

Thankfully, Lost Records: Bloom & Rage gives you everything you need right in front of your eyes, you need just to do a little more digging for the solution.
First things first, turn around from the door and pay attention to the piece of paper stuck to the wooden post with a knife, as this is your first clue. It may look like a few doodles, but it’s in fact the answer to the padlock puzzle, although it doesn’t spell it out completely.
In short, there are several icons hidden around the cabin that hold parts of the solution to the padlock puzzle. It doesn’t matter the order you find them, just the order which you put them on the lock. First, check out above the door. This is the far left, stuck tumbler on the padlock, so unnecessary to find, but does allow you to understand the letter.
Secondly, you’ll want to look to the ceiling to locate a rope you can pull. This opens up a trap door to the attic, which is represented by the ladder on the letter. Climb it, and then turn around, and you’ll find the second icon, a half moon.
Third, go back down to the bottom level of the cabin, walk towards a desolate-looking fireplace, and look on the left side. Here, you’ll find a snake icon, which on the other side of which is a group of pans, something you’ll have seen in the letter.
Lastly, you’ll want to head to the very back of the cabin and look for a bear trap on the back wall. This is where you’ll find your final and fourth icon, and last part of the padlock puzzle, a group of stars.
The last thing to do now is turn around put the padlock puzzle solution in, and finish the first real puzzles in Lost Records: Bloom & Rage:
- First tumbler – Already correct and locked in by some vines.
- Second tumbler – Moon.
- Third tumbler – Snake.
- Fourth tumbler – Stars.
Once you’ve entered the correct sequence of icons in the padlock puzzle, you’ll have a cutscene of the lock unlocking, the door opening, and the group reunited.
