While it may not be intentional, at least Treyarch now knows one thing that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 players want. Legacy tokens. PC Gamer reported on what seems to be an accidental case coming to light with the latest update, but it seems Treyarch have owned up to its mistake, for now.
What may have been an innocent mistake or even the developer pulling the trigger too early could ultimately help us (the players) in the long run, especially with the outcry after it was taken away.
That Appears to be an Innocent Mistake by Treyarch

No matter what was the case here, the important thing to be taken into account is that these legacy tokens will be returning in the game. That might be an innocent mistake made by the game’s developer; there is no chance they are letting go of a chance to listen to the feedback that could prove beneficial to them in the long run.
With the start of Season 01, a UI bug allowed players to activate legacy XP tokens in Black Ops 6. Unfortunately, it also introduced some potential risk to game stability, which is why it was patched yesterday.

We realize how much players appreciate being able to redeem legacy…
For now, the game’s developer has called for the feature to take a backseat as there seem to be potential issues with the game’s stability. Treyarch said, “This allows us time to ensure stability is maintained before we reintroduce this feature.”
It is Just a Matter of Time Until Black Ops 6 Users Get to Use Them

This just created a wave of happiness among the fans but the re-implementation of the feature ought to take some time; they need to wait a bit. In case anyone wants to know the tidbits of using (legacy tokens) Double XP tokens, there is a workaround and it’s as follows:
- Open Warzone.
- Select any mode to enter a lobby.
- Go to the bottom right and select your Warzone tokens. Activate one.
- Go back to either Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 multiplayer or zombies mode, and you’ll see them active.
- Rinse and repeat every time it runs out/you want to activate one.
There are plenty of gamers who may not play or have any interest in Warzone, but unfortunately for now, without having it installed and accessible, you’re at Treyarch’s mercy with regards to the legacy tokens and will have to either wait or download the mode.
