Death Stranding 2: On the Beach Brings Back a Hilarious, yet Useful Mechanic for Fighting BTs

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is the definition of a perfect sequel. Everything that fans disliked about the first game has been revamped and improved for the better; however, this doesn’t mean the developers took away the best parts. Fighting things from the other side, better known as Beach Things, while delivering fragile cargo can be a hassle, especially if you have no gear on Sam’s loadout. Fortunately, one player confirmed that a good old defense mechanism is still a viable option in the sequel.

As a DOOMS sufferer and a repatriate, Sam has a few qualities that can make living in the Death Stranding much more convenient. In the first game, it is revealed that Sam’s fluids are lethal to Beached Things, meaning his blood, urine, and feces are weapons of mass destruction against the undead.

The core gameplay loop involves you picking up an order and delivering cargo to other fallout shelters with preppers. While it may sound easy on paper, the BTs and other environmental factors can hamper your progress. Sam could lose gear and potentially ruin the quality of his cargo when he is caught in the crossfire between BTs, but one player managed to get away unscathed by urinating on them.

It seems that peeing on BTs is still an effective method to get rid of BTs in Death Stranding 2. You won’t need any blood grenades or assault rifles to escape when you could simply pee on them to get away. It is a testament to Hideo Kojima’s weird and creative vision. Sam can clear his bladder while getting rid of the undead is a win-win for a day of a Porter.
