How to Unlock the Storage Room in Data Store Alpha
Out of all the storage rooms within The Interchange in Atomfall, the storage room in data store alpha is arguably one of the simplest to unlock; however, this storage room is blocked by a blue mist that will infect your character, causing massive damage unless you have a specific item.
The item in question is a Strange Tonic that can either be found by discovering the blueprint within the Druids Castle in Casterfell Woods or by purchasing these tonics from Mother Jago within Casterfell Woods.
For the duration of these tonics, you will take reduced damage from the infection debuff, and said debuff will be applied slower to the player as well. Drinking this tonic will allow you to venture into this location, albeit for a small amount of time, to solve the storage room puzzle.
Once you enter data store alpha, you will need to activate the power by putting an atomic battery in the power generator. This will remove half of the mist from the upper floor, allowing you to breathe easier; however, the bottom floor will still be full of the infectious mist.
Due to the time limit this mist causes, there isn’t really a puzzle for this storage room to be solved, but instead, it is a simple run-and-grab job. As you enter the lowest floor, there will be a few servers within the room similar to data storage charlie, but this time, all you need to do is head to the far right corner of the room and discover a dead hazmat scientist who holds the keycard for the storage room.
Once you find this dead body on the floor, you will need to grab the key and put it into the keycard slot; this will open the door. With the door now open, there is a small surprise as numerous small rat-like enemies will crawl out of the walls and attack you, as well as explode next to you.
Now that you have opened the door and defeated these small enemies, the loot is yours for the taking, and there is plenty of loot to help you along your way.
