The gaming community has been begging for a Days Gone Remaster and new details about Bend Studio’s next project have been shared. While it is not what most fans wanted, the game developers are adamant about applying everything they have learned from the open-world zombie apocalypse adventure to a familiar setting that failed to impress the fans.
Instead of a Days Gone Remaster, Fans Received Something Else Instead

After months of rumors and speculations, some insiders are convinced that Days Gone will receive the remaster treatment like most first-party PlayStation franchises. The game developers over at Bend Studio have been actively working on a new project since the lackluster reception of Days Gone; however, some fans couldn’t help but express their disappointment knowing it is not a direct sequel despite the developers’ best efforts to keep up with the latest trends.

It was only a matter of time before someone leaked what the studio was working on and it appears to be another third-person military shooter with online multiplayer features. It is common knowledge that Bend Studio is working on a new IP that could be a live-service project; however, this game could have easily passed as a new Syphon Filter.
Regardless, the developers could still be working on a Days Gone remaster internally or collaborating with another studio as they focus on the new IP. There is a strong possibility of a reveal during this year’s The Game Awards and this could hold the gaming community off until Bend Studio is ready to share this new ambitious project.
