Story
The story in Days Gone Remastered remains the same as the original version and that’s a good thing. You set out as Decon St. John on a quest to learn more about the fate of his wife Sarah who was presumed dead after the events that set the game in motion have taken place.
What remains of humanity is mostly hostile with cannibalistic zombies known as Freakers found in several areas of the map while navigating conflicts between Deacon’s former gang known as the Mongrels and a vicious, sadistic group called The Rippers.
Several characters Deacon meets along the way bring lots of story beats and new missions for him to take on in a narrative that is equal parts poignant and action-packed.
Days Gone Remastered Gameplay
Days Gone Remastered is all set to bring a host of new features to the original title. First and foremost among them are new graphical modes built to make the most of current-gen hardware that bring a choice between improved resolution or framerates with the Quality and Performance modes respectively. Furthermore, the PS5 Pro can combine the best of both worlds giving players the most definitive version of the game there is.

DualSense support is slated to make its presence felt with Deacon’s motorcycle creating a distinct rumble thanks to the controller’s advanced haptics while the adaptive triggers can make every weapon feel unique in your hands. The game’s dynamic weather is also set to make the most of the DualSense’s unique features with rain and thunder poised to bring it to life in ways the DualShock 4 could not have achieved.
Support for Tempest Audio, VRR, a host of Accessibility features, and brand-new game modes are going to be a part of Days Gone Remastered. The new Horde Assault mode takes the sheer terror of being chased by a horde of Freakers to new heights while controlling previously unplayable characters and unlocking new cosmetics and Injectors to find a playstyle that best suits you!
A new Permadeath mode allows you to test your skills, returning you to the start of the campaign or second act based on where you are within the narrative based on your selection while a new Speedrun mode can push your skills to the limit as you try to complete the game as quickly as possible.
New trophies and an improved Photo Mode are just icing on the cake as you brave all of the new challenges that Days Gone Remastered has to offer.
