Marvel Rivals New Limited Mode Will Allow You to Fulfil Your Own Avengers: Secret Wars Fantasies

Marvel Rivals is the ultimate superhero experience as players select an expansive roster of heroes and villains. Variants from alternate timelines and different realities clashing for supremacy, and the developers might have found a way to step it up a notch with a new game mode.

As a live service project, NetEase Games will constantly add new features like game modes to keep the Marvel Rivals player base hooked. The main goal of each match is to assert dominance by picking different heroes and villains and defeating the opposing team, but adding an Auto Battler Mode called Ultron’s Battle Matrix Protocol is a step in the right direction and towards innovation.

This new game mode will launch on June 6, 2025, and players can hand-pick a team of 6 to battle against another player’s team. The player will oversee the entire battle as Ultron hovers over the field and provides airpower and support for their team. Players manually place their characters in the field in this mode, offering them the best tactical advantage.

This is a nice change of pace from the intense combat experience of assuming the role of a certain hero fighting on the front lines. Players can build their ultimate dream team featuring heroes from the X-Men, Guardians of the Galaxy, Fantastic Four, and the Avengers.

The Avengers movies have always been used as major events, and feature a large ensemble cast, as seen in Infinity War and Endgame. While the previous films focused on one saving one reality, both Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars will feature characters who have yet to make their MCU debut and will be played by legacy actors courtesy of the Multiverse.

There is no telling what the Russo Brothers have in store for this film, but both projects have been delayed by a few months. In the meantime, the gaming community can always participate in Secret Wars by drafting their team in Ultron’s Battle Matrix Protocol.
