After multiple free-play days and weekends, a decent amount of time in Early Access polishing, and taking on all the feedback from players, Crowbar Collective and Team17 have announced that today is the day, as Rogue Point leaves Early Access and launches into Version 1.0.
Even better than a brand new, polished game leaving Early Access is the content it brings with it, and Rogue Point does not disappoint. It brings a fifth map, the Clinic, three new weapons in the form of the Mule shotgun, KT50 semi-automatic carbine, and the A1M1 semi-automatic marksman rifle, and of course, some new cosmetics including a unique-looking chainmail armor.
On top of all that, we’re also getting a new boss, the Oil Rig, a “pyro-happy, flame-throwing adversary will keep the Rogues hot footing it as they sweep the map”, and most surprisingly, especially this early on, we’re also getting mod support! Players will be able to create their own maps or modify the existing ones, as well as add custom campaigns, all easily uploaded to the Steam Workshop.
Rogue Point Key Features:
- Fight and maneuver your way through missions spread across five diverse locations: The Airport, the Mall, the Office, the Oil Rig, and new for v1.0: the Clinic. Each map is reshaped by the game’s Parametric Design System, offering new strategies and challenges with every match.
- Each MERX enemy class has their own playstyle that packs a unique punch: Whether they’re rushing you, throwing flashbangs, or keeping you pinned down from long range, the MERX will keep you and your Squad on your toes throughout the campaign.
- Co-op Teamplay Work together to battle against the MERX threat: Rogue Point is purpose-built to reinforce teamplay. Heal and revive your teammates, share gear and weapons, and execute your joint plan of attack.
- Weapons and Customisation: Earn money to buy weapons and gear. Buy the exact loadout you want, or put your cash on the line for a chance of rare items only available through the Dead Drop system.
