Ten years on from the start of the excellent Cube Escape series, studio Rusty Lake has decided to celebrate the anniversary in the best way possible; they’re giving away a new game that follows in the same footsteps. Challenging players to think outside the box, The Mr. Rabbit Magic Show may be a short affair, but it follows the same pillars of design that the Cube Escape series has done for years.
The Mr. Rabbit Magic Show is a Teaser in Itself
A new (and free) point-and-click adventure from Rusty Lake is more than just a celebration of the previous decade of work. In fact, it’s not only a short trip through what makes Rusty Lake great, but it also includes a hidden achievement that points to the next game in the Cube Escape series, Servant of the Lake. Good luck finding it!
On this unique approach to a 10th Anniversary Celebration, co-founder Robin Ras had this to say:
“We wanted to celebrate our 10th anniversary with a free-to-play game filled with magic, surprises, and a fun twist that makes this the most personal Rusty Lake game to date.”
The Mr. Rabbit Magic Show itself has secret achievements teasing at the future, as mentioned, but Rusty Lake described its key features below.
- A short but magical game consisting of 20 acts filled with secrets and unexpected twists that will put you in a celebratory mood.
- A magical soundtrack accompanied by rich sound effects and unexpected voice actors.
- A chance to peek behind the curtain of the extravagant magician also known as Mr. Rabbit!
All this, and Rusty Lake are still offering more, in the guise of both a limited run of merch via physical media extraordinaire LostInCult, and a 66% sale off the studio’s entire catalog offer on Steam, iOs, and Nintendo eShop for a limited time.
